Just returned from Pop

Thank you for posting the picture! I want one now lol

Here is a photo for you.....I LOVE this bag and wished I had bought 2! I am hoping they are still there in August.

Me too! Only 3 more weeks :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3:

My friend that went with me last May bought one. She uses it at work everyday and everyday I am jealous that I didn't get one. It is a great size and has held up very well for her with daily use. I've taken 3 trips since and haven't seen that offer again. Hope they still have it in May!

I'm not sure which buildings are closest to the buses....I used my car. I stayed in building 1 which was close to the main building where the buses are so maybe that one? I'm sure more experienced POP guests could answer that.

I have stayed in the 50's section twice. It is very close to the buses, food court, & has the cute bowling pin pool.

Sine you have recently been there, can you tell me what buildings would be closest to the busses? We are staying there and want to be close to the bus stops since my daughter tends to fall asleep at the parks and I have to end up carrying her back to the rooms....she weights about 50lbs, so I am looking for the shortest walk while carrying her!

rileyroosmom:

Is the POP room large enough for a pack and play? We're going in September with our 4 year old and a 1 year old, and two adults, of course. We've never stayed at a value resort, so just wondering if we'll be tripping all over each other or is there sufficient room?

Thanks so much!

If you can afford it, book a Preferred room at POP. That will guarantee that you will be placed in a room close to the buses and food court.
Here is a link to a ,map of POP and the yellow lines indicate where the preferred rooms are located.

Yes there is room for a pack and play. We used one there two years ago.

We stayed in the non-preferred side of Bldg 10 (70s section) and were pleasantly surprised at how close to buses and food court it was. Also I remember other threads warning about how noisy it can get in the 60s preferred sections that face the Hippy Dippy Pool, and when we were there in August I was so glad we weren't in those rooms--some people might enjoy being right in the middle of the action, but it would have been too much for me!

I used the shower curtain and hooks for a privacy curtain. Hung it up by the sink area and it worked out great. I would get up earlier than the kids, turn on the bathroom light and get dressed in that area. My kids also used it to change. It just gives you more room to move around than inside the actual bathroom.

There is room for a pack n play. Next to the TV cabinet or in front of the window.

Kind of off topic, but how were the park crowds during your stay? My sister went down on Friday, and was worried it was going to be packed.

Thanks for the review! We'll be @ POP for our 1st time in 3 weeks. We too are Deluxe fans. But DD is bringing a friend and we needed 2 rooms; we had a nice AP code for the POLY; but when we needed 2 rooms- well time to switch the ressie! And we were able to use the AP rate on the 2 rooms @ POP. LOL We really hope to have a great time! My kids are thrilled with the pictures; and as long as I can get a drink @ the bar near the POOL I'm ok! Thanks again for the review!

jdd- the crowds definetly picked up as the week went on. It was managable, we got everything done. Just arrive early and use fastpass. Thursday we went to MK after AK. We arrived around 5 and we ended up walking out. You couldn't move. The waits weren't long, about 30 minutes, but after walking on everything Monday, we couldn't be bothered waiting. The crowds were really large but I never saw a longer than 30 minute wait.

We've always stayed offsite or at the CBR so I am a bit worried about our upcoming Pop stay. It's always nice to hear a review from someone who has stayed at the resorts with larger rooms and then stayed at Pop.

I am not good with sizes but have seen pictures of the Pop rooms. Are they about the same size as a typical hotel room?

If you are staying at a disney resort and you drive to the park do you have to pay for parking?

They couldn't have been too big if the longest wait was 30 min LOL First week of April we saw 2 hrs 10 min wait for Soarin and Test Track!

Thanks! My sister's not as big a Disney fan as we are - she just doesn't quite "get it". So, I'm sure she won't be happy if it's wall to wall people! I'll be prepared for the "I just don't understand why you love it there!" conversation when she returns...;)

We watched Epcot fireworks one night by the lake. That was nice, saw lots of bunnies and ducks.

We are staying here for the first time Saturday for a long weekend. Is there a specific place on the lake and what is the lake near? Is there anything to sit on or do I need to bring something with us?

We drive to the parks, but DH wants to bypass parking the car, walking to the monorail, riding the monorail, and the walk down to the gate. He wants to ride the bus so we can straight to the gate. We are going to MK on Monday the 21st it opens at 9 so when should we get to the bus pick up to make sure we are there before opening?

Thanks for the review of POP!
By the way, does anyone happen to know what the quietest area of POP is?
