We just returned from 9 days at Disney at Coronado Springs. We were able to get close to bus stop #1 on the ground floor. My husband broke his ankle a week before we left so we needed to be close to an elevator if we were on the 2nd floor. They asked if we wanted to be close to the pool, the front lobby and the bus. Of course we said yes! We were in room 9504 with a view of the water. The bus system was okay as only the downtown disney bus actually picked up stop #1 first. Every other bus started at 2-3-4-1. So most of the time we were left standing. Would anyone give up a seat for my husband, NO! He was not on crutches just a walking boot, but still. The longest wait we had was 20-25 minutes, most were within 10-15 minutes. After staying at the All Stars last time (we were going to stay there again but we upgraded since the cost of the trip went down $400 before we made the final payment!) and the Coronado this time, we noticed that the bus stops were much closer in the parks. The all stars bus stops were always the farthest away and the most crowded. The room was slightly bigger but not worth it for us if we paid the full price. You just are not in the hotel very much. We had thunder storms with lightening 7 of the 9 days. We tried to see the MGM fantasmic show twice, sat there for 2 hours on Friday before they cancelled it. Finally saw it on Sat. The cast members there were not very nice, I was suprised at that. I was disappointed with the show, probably because we sat there twice for good seats for hours and then it got cancelled anyway. Overall it was a good trip. This being the 3rd trip to disney in 10 years, I saw a decline. I just did not think it was as clean as 10 years ago, we got no help with the wheelchair in Magic Kingdom, Animal kingdom or MGM. When we took my Dad 5 years ago he needed the wheelchair due to his Leukemia, we were treated much better. Obviously we did not go on the rollercoasters or fast rides with either of them. But I thought we were able to see the shows a little faster. Has anyone tried weaving a wheelchair thru those roped up lines on inclines? It is very difficult! At epcot it was completely different. We had special lines to go in, I did not have to push him through the regular lines. This is what it was like 5 years ago. Trying to push the chair through the tree of life at AK, was horrible. I hope we never have to go through that again! It took 2 days to get our items when we had them shipped from the stores at downtown disney, maybe because we were not leaving the following day our stuff was pushed back for someone else that was leaving sooner. Just something I thought maybe someone would want to know. The pepper market was nice, but very expensive. Much more expensive then the all stars. We were able to get priority seating on the day we called, that was nice. I think the best thing Disney could do would be to sell a mug that would work at any park, hotel, water park, I would have paid $25 for it. The water parks have their own mugs, the hotels have their own. It would be much nicer if they could be used for both. Overall it was a good trip, we had a good time, the lines were long but the fast pass did help. Of course we spent way to much money (we did not see a declining economy there!).
