I just spent my first week as a DVC member at BLT and have some thoughts on the experience:

I stayed with family in room 7229. It's a dedicated 2BR standard view, very close to the elevators. This made it very convenient to either the monorail, pool or just walking over to CR.

The room was basically in good shape, no real noticible wear and tear, maybe a few scuffs but very good shape overall. This was the first time that I've stayed in a 2 BR timeshare that had 3 baths, now that was nice!

As far as the view, I didn't take any pictures because there was no view. The room faces the pool but there are a group of trees growing just outside the windows so if you know what trees look like, then your familiar with the view 'cause that's all there is.

My only real complaint was that Disney should not advertise high speed internet in each room, low speed internet would be more accurate. Although the WiFi in the lobby was fine, the internet speed in the room was so slow, I had to give up any posting of the vacation pics on Facebook, it kept timing out.

I really enjoyed the roof lounge and got my full share of fireworks this past week.

Overall I really liked BLT. It's very comfortable, it has a great location and the staff there and at CR were great. I definitely look forward to my next trip.

The internet connection on property in all the rooms seems to be awfully slow. Over the years, I've used the internet connection at the Grand Floridian, BLT, and AKV and have found the internet connection to be passable at best.

Yep, BLT internet is terrible. Dropped on us continually and top speed was 1MB (measured on Speakeasy).

During our last visit I just tethered my Blackberry to our laptop. If Orlando has any real 4G coverage my new Android will probably easily outpace their internet.
