I know it is not Disney and we absolutely love DCL, cruised both the Magic and Wonder and have another trip planned on the Magic for next August, but we decided to leave the kids home this time and head off to Bermuda aboard the Celebrity Zenith. The ship and Bermuda were both wonderful! If anyone has any specific questions, just ask away!

Hi Dawn...How is the Zenith?
Since you have sailed on the Magic, is the Zenith that much smaller?

Is the food and service good?

Did you notice if they have kids clubs? How are they?

How are the cabins? Did you have inside or outside?

Well you said ask away, so I did. LOL

When are you booked next August, we are on the 8/28/04 sailing.

Thanks
Joanna

Hi We've only cruised once & it was on the Wonder. We were wondering where you left from to Bermuda & how many days did you stay there? Would this be a good cruise for kids & teens? Thanks for any info! Cathie

Hi Mjasp -

- The Zenith was absolutely wonderful! Definitely smaller than DCL, but still large enough to not feel confined. The size was actually perfect to easily get around on. The ship was completely filled and it never felt crowded. With the Zenith being an older ship, the stabilizers were not up to par with DCL. You definitely felt the ship moving on the day at sea heading to Bermuda, but on the way home the water was like bay!

- The food and service was top notch, we couldn't have asked for more. We were very impressed. We have always enjoyed the food and service on DCL and it is hard to admit, but Celebrity has one up on DCL in this category.

- The ship as a whole was kept in great shape. Always being cleaned and shined.

- There are no verranda rooms, just inside and outside. We had an outside cabin with a very nice size window on deck 5, the room was slightly smaller than DCL, but was still plenty big with more than enough storage and closet space.

- They do have kids clubs. I think the age groups are pretty much broken down the same way as DCL. When we saw the groups, it appeared that the kids were all having a good time. Their arcade is much smaller than DCL and they do not have a movie theater, they showed 1 movie per day in the main show room. There is definitely much more for kids to do on DCL, but there seemed to be enough for the kids to do to keep them happy.

- All in all, I would definitely recommend going to Bermuda. It is definitely the most beautiful Island we have every been too and cruising to get there is wonderful. Being in Bermuda for 4 days is great, plenty of time to really get to see the Island and enjoy the most breathtaking beaches I have every seen. We are hoping to go back in 2005, but this time with the kids. We love DCL, but Celebrity Zenith exceeded all our expectations and I will definitely sail her again!!!!

- Unfortunately, we miss you by a couple weeks next year, we are booked on the 8/14/04 Magic sailing. We have 4 families going right now, with 2 more possible joining us.
Can't wait!!!!

Dawn...Thanks for the answers, sounds like a great cruise.

We also have 4 families joining us with 2 more families possibly also.

Hi DawnL .... you said "With the Zenith being an older ship..." and it shocked me. I was on her maiden voyage and it doesn't seem that long ago. But time certainly flies lately. What a great ship and we just love Celebrity.

We'll be doing our first Disney Cruise in November. With a 4-year old it seemed like a good choice. I'm sure we'll enjoy Disney too. In fact, we like any cruise line - just LOVE to cruise.
