Just returned from first trip home. Found letter approving financing in the mailbox (although I had verbal approval before we left.) We are now proud owners of 150 BWV points and already looking to add on LOL!
Anyway, spent 3 nights at OKW and 4 at BWV. OKW view backed up to the highway and there were people starting with chainsaws outside out window at 5:30 AM but other than that, it was great. Had Disney tranfer luggage and perishables to BWV. Just cost me the $25 in tips (but well worth it!)
After 3 rented stays requesting a daybed and not getting one, this time did not request and got won. DD (9) slept on it and preffered it over the mattress on the floor. We kept having to put her feet back on the bed, but she's old enough to make her own choices. Stayed in room 5066, RIGHT off the elevator - overlooking luna pool. DH loved proximity to elevator! I had asked for a garden view and when we checked in she asked what I meant by "garden" and I pointed to the area in between BWI and BWV on the BW side. SHe said all rooms were booked there and that there a couple garden view areas. Can anyone clarify this?
Anyway, now counting down to second trip home in just 93 days when we'll get to try out OKW new pool and hopefullly tour SSR.

I'm glad you had a great time and are going again so soon!

I believe that "garden" (the one on the BW side) counts as BW view, since you can see the BW on the far side of it. Check with MS on this, tho. When they say "garden/pool view" it means any body of water or any landscaping that isn't on the BW side (BW view) or the parking lot side (Std view), I believe.

Interestingly, they seem to be expanding the meaning of "Standard" view, either that or they upgraded us this past trip. We had reserved a Std view 2BR (and that's all the points we used), so we were surprised to get 1068/ 1070, which is pool level, right off the elevators, with a partial pool view but mainly the backside of Leaping Horse Libations. DW hated the location, but the rest of us thought it was fine, not the best, but fine.

Glad you had a nice time Rpsemont. I read yor F&W event list on the restaurant board with great interest. It seems you hit almost everything! We did just one wine and food pairing, at the coral reef. While the environment was lovely, and the food spectacular, the wines they had were pretty ordinary stuff: Australian wines you can find in any supermarket. Maybe that works for most folks, but at an event like this I want something interesting and special, more like the amazing food it was served with. Maybe next year, I'll get into that vertical tasting of Bordeaux wines (you know, stuff I can't get in the supermarket;)).

Hi,

Glad you had a good time!!
