Just got back home at noon today (7/2). This is a very brief executive summary. A detailed day-by-day review will follow in the next day or so.

Overview
- 19 - 24 June @ WL
- 25 – 26 June @ Pop Century
- 27 June – July 1 @ HRH (Universal)

Pixie Dust everywhere on the Disney portion of the trip. Unbelievable the luck we had.

The Room(s) - WL far exceeded every expectation. We truly felt at home there. So relaxed. Had a woods view room reserved. Check in manager noticed we were from PA (as was he) and upgraded us to inside courtyard. In fact, it is one of the few rooms facing out to the lake AND on the inside courtyard. Room was 4041. View of waterfall, pool, geyser, and lake. Room was on the north wing, right over Artist Point. W-ON-D-E-R-F-U-L !! Pop for 2 nights was manageable. Had two AeroBeds and they fit fine. Nice hotel. For a longer stay, two rooms is a must.

The Food - Every sit down meal was great. (LTT, Chef Mickey, Whispering Canyon, Mama Melrose, Alfredo’s, Teppenyaki, 50s Diner) Alfredo’s was, as DW puts it, “one of the best meals I have ever had”. Earl of Sandwich was so good we went there twice. All other counter services were typical park fare. We did the meal plan. Will run the numbers later. We consciously did not over eat, and I still think we came out on top, money-wise.

The Parks - Really crowded, but manageable with strategic use of FastPass. Avoided EMH, except one Epcot night when we had Test Track and Soarin’ FPs in hand. Used those then left. Best Park - MK (even for DS16). Best Ride – Soarin’ (with ToT in close 2nd). Best water park – Blizzard Beach. We renamed Summit Plummet “The Great Wedgie Machine. Wave Pool @ Typhoon Lagoon was superior, but the other rides paled in comparison. DisneyQuest was a blast !

HRH & Universal - OK. Too many tragically hip folks @ HRH for my liking. The hotel is beautiful, but after WL, it didn’t have a chance. Universal is just an amusement park. Spiderman and The Mummy were super rides, but we did mostly ½ days at the parks and relaxed at the HRH pool the rest of the time.

Transportation - All WDW transportation was 100% super. Can’t count the times we walked to the dock or bus stop, and within a minute or two a boat or bus pulled up. The boat rides were so relaxing and fun.

What a phenomenal vacation !!! Can’t wait to go back to WDW. Next two week trip will be 100% WDW, with several days off from the parks to golf or do some other relaxing.

Look for the detailed daily’s, coming in the next day or so.

Yep. Can have fun at Universal, but its not WDW.

thanks for your report, sounds amazing! Send some pixie dust my way for September at the Poly...it is our 1 yr anniversary maybe we will get free upgrade but I am not expecting it or putting my hopes on it!! Thanks again...glad all was well.... :sunny:

Your comment about the tragically hip folks at the HRH hits the nail on the head! We felt so out of place and so old there! We hated the loud music piped through the place. I guess we're just wimps. We stayed at PBH and just walked over to HRH to check it out last summer. PBH on the other hand was really relaxing and quiet. No magic though! Agree with you on all your quick thoughts!

Thanks for posting, I be looking for your next trip.

:rotfl: Tragically hip!! :rotfl: I love it! :rotfl:
Can't wait for more!
