Just received Magic Bands! Question...

So we've got our Magic Bands, which as I understand it has all of our tickets, ADRs, and FastPass+. What if I change my FastPass+ times through MDE? Does it automatically update the bands?

Nothing is "on" the bands.


Just to keep things as clear as possible-

There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info, or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.

A MagicBand just contains (and weakly "transmits") a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file.
Disney can just set up a new band (different serial number)
to access the info in your MDE file.

Disney can also issue ADDITIONAL MB's to a guest and each
additional band can be used for the same purposes as the first band.
So, there can be multiple MB's per person, and each of them can be used by that person.

The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door.
The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info.
The MB just unlocks the file of info, allowing it to be accessed from your MDE account when needed.

Basically, the bands are linked to your MDE account, so whatever updates in that account updates to your bands.

I like to think of them kind of like my gym membership card. All of my info - membership level, dates I worked out, whether I have a tennis court reserved for that day - is stored in a central database, and I am assigned a member number. (There is also a credit card associated with that account, but it should be encrypted - the most a gym staff person should be able to see is the last 4 digits.) When I swipe my card at the door, the swipe machine tells the computer that member card #123456X is coming in, the computer pulls up my record, and the front desk can greet me and send me to the right court. All the card knows is my member number. Same with a Magic Band.
