Just received DVC survey

Sorry if this is old news, I've been off the boards for a couple of days as I just started a new job this week .

The survey concerned the dining options at Saratoga. Asking for a "rating" for the Artist's palate there ( excellent, very good, good, just ok or poor) I ranked it as just OK as IMHO while it's pretty good for a food court, it's still just a food court and when looked at along side some of the full service restaurants it's impossible to mark it higher.

It also asked on preference for a "family buffet style" restaurant or a full service "a la carte" one at SAratoga Springs.

Final question was concerning a "future DVC resort" that would be more than 1 mile from any other DVC restaurant ( Eagle Pines resort? I would assume so) and what sort of dining facilities that would/should require.

Pretty short survey, I'd guess 9 or 10 questions.

Anyone else got one?

Any comments to make? I'm sure Disney reads these boards and would note the feedback.

I haven't seen such a survey. Was it via e-mail or in snail mail? Have you recently stayed at SSR?

I got the same survey yesterday. I've never stayed at a DVC resort - just bought points at SSR during our last trip in November-December. We looked at Artist's Palette while we were there and even with downtown Disney so close I definitely think SSR could use another restaurant.

I didn't get a survey...but I'm glad to see that they are taking the time to look at potential dining options at SSR.

I wish I would have gotten that survey after our SSR stay! I thought Artist Pallette was a joke for a resort the size of SSR!

I received a reminder today from DVC by email that I had not filled out the survey. I filled it out online this morning stating my preferene for a nice sit-down type restaurant at SSR. I really hope this happens!

Just wanted to add that I have not stayed at SSR and I do not own points there. Don't know why I was sent the survey. I have visited though and from the comments I have heard here I said they needed a nice sit down restaurant.

we received the same survey. it came via email and asked a few questions about our family size, age, income, # vacations, then a couple about SSR.

never stayed at SSR so dont know how they went about sending the survey out

I'd guess the surveys are sent out randomly. Mine was in email and completed it on line. \

Just for the record I said I thought SSR needed a full service restaurant, I'm not too bothered if it were to be "family style" or "a la carte" although having visited the excellent Trattoria restaurant in the Portifino Bay hotel at Universal studios which offers both a buffet style meal AND an "a la carte" menu I don't see why they couldn't do both under one roof. I used to really like the soup and salad lunch buffets they ran at Olivia's in OKW and they offered this option while still running a full menu so it's not something Disney hasn't done before.

they want you to use the places at DTD to eat.............but before it is built out i bet that philosophy will change..............

I just finished the survey. I got the first email on the 16th and a reminder on the 19th. It only good through tonight teh 22nd so check your email.
