Just received cute "post card" type thing from Polynesian General Manager

I just got home and in the mail was a folded post-card type of thing, welcoming us for our upcoming trip to the Polynesian resort. They even have "Brown Family" printed on the back, with a picture of the castle and Peter Pan, Wendy, Michael, and John flying through the air

When you open it, it says "Dear Brown Family", "Aloha and Welcome to Disney's Polynesian Resort....etc....etc...etc.". It's signed "Dave Venerables - General Manager, Disney's Polynesian Resort" And he adds a "P.S. Don't forget to try the Lemon Creme Brulee at 'Ohana Feast..." Yum! I love creme brulee, now I'm going to HAVE to try it, it sounds delicious!

And on the other pages of the postcard (it unfolds to 3 pages), there are other pre-trip tips, and mentions things like the fireworks, Cirque Du Soleil, Disney Quest, the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Kona Cafe, 'Ohana, and then lists the web address for Disney World to find park hours, etc.

Anyway, it didn't have any info in it that I didn't already know (except maybe the lemon creme brulee! ), but it's adorable (looks like a pirate map on the inside) and fun to get mail from Disney like this!

Now I'm wondering if I'll get one from the Wilderness Lodge's General Manager...

We were surprised to get one too last December. It is pretty awesome but yours seems updated. We also had this little packet come in with ALL WDW info, maps, pictures, planning lists...it was awesome!

I cant wait to read your review. We'll actually be there on the 7th and 8th (for Jiko's Wine Pairing Dinner...thats if DF ever books it!) and probably spend the next day at Disney Quest.

When we first booked, I got the packet that you're describing, it had side pockets with a map, packing list, etc. What I got today is different, it's a tri-fold postcard, and definitely seems designed to be sent to the guest shortly before their visit.

I will definitely be writing reviews when I get back; one on the Polynesian concierge, Polynesian resort in general, Wilderness Lodge concierge, Wilderness Lodge in general, the restaurants at the resorts, as well as the restaurants at the Parks, and I'll write a review of the "Grand Romantic" couples' massage that I've booked at the Grand Floridian. I'll include anything and everything that I thing will be of interest to people planning their trips

Hey, Terry!!! We got one of those, too!!! Ours also said, "Brown Family". what a coincidence!

Anyway, I bet you are sooo excited!!!!!! I can't wait to hear your impresssions of these resorts. The best part of the Poly was just relaxing on a lounge chair watching the fireworks...and the Lava Flows from the pool bar-you must have one for me!!!!!

The WL is just plain......maginificent in every way!!!!!!

I swore I would make no Sept plans after last year's fiasco, but we are booked at POR for Labor day......

We've gotten them the last two years for the GF - welcome back "Family" and we already got one for our upcoming January trip welcoming our "Family" to the WL. Its a nice personal touch, in fact I have the one for this July from the GF tucked in my bureau mirror. I love looking at it each morning.

Isn't it amazing what those little personalized mailings from WDW can do! Whenever I find one, it produces instant excitement and smiles that last all day long and into the next!
