Just realized DVC made a mistake.

Unless there has been a recent change, I do not believe that the front desk personnel have access to our DVC accounts. When I had a problem a few years back, the front desk manager called MS to explain the situation and MS made the adjustments to our account. Again, it may be different now.

Call MS, explain what happened and see what they can do. I doubt MS could accidentally process a transaction on the wrong account with the detailed verification they go through when we call. Good luck getting it straightened out.

Two years ago a Front Desk CM added the DDP for a Guest of ours. They canceled the reservation, the points went into holding and they used other points for the new reservation. It took several phone calls and a week for MS to make things right. When I complained to Disney management about the CM messing up our account and breaking policy, they told me that they shouldn't be faulted for making magic for our Guest.

I had a similar issue last December when they were upgrading the reservation system. I did Online Check-in. When I went to check-in at SSR there was a problem with my reservation. They apparently cancelled my reservation and rebooked as a cash reservation under my friends' names since they were staying with me for a few nights of my reservation. There was a mysterious # of points in Holding on my account equal to the reservation I had made but from what I could see even though it looked like they used other points my balances appeared to be correct other than the points in holding that should not have been there. I will never use the advanced online check-in again.
