We decided to rent points from a DVC member through David's for a 2 BDR at BLT for our first ever Disney vacation from Oct 21-25, 2012. I know it isn't 11 months out, but I am hoping we can get something....fingers crossed!

Anyone who has stayed at BLT have any tips? We are not doing the dining plan...I have a couple of kiddos who eat like birds, are ultra picky, etc etc. We will be better off without the plan (I think!).

I do have a few more questions. Is view really that important? Can we really walk to Magic Kingdom? How is the pool there? Are there fireworks in October?

Yes, there are 2 pools. One at cr you can use as well as BLT. Yes, fireworks all year round. Yes, about a 7-10 minute walk to mk!

If you plan on eating, or drinking adult beverages in your room buy it off site.
FYI a six pack of budweiser 12 oz cans is $16.00.

We'll be there in Oct for 9 days in a 1BR Standard.
- We do a grocery run and have lots of food,snacks and drinks for quick meals and pool side. Saves a lot of money and helps make it feel more like home.
- We have the TIW card, so part of the adventure is trying out different eateries.
- Walk to MK is quick and relaxing. Sometimes we opt for the monorail just to enjoy the trip.
- DW and I really enjoy the BLT pool.
- Fireworks can be viewed from TOTW or your room if you have the view.
