Hi Everyone!
I am new here! I just planned a last minute trip (DH is military) for me, DH, DD3 (almost 4) and DD1. We are driving from NC and will be there from Dec 25-Jan 2. And we are so excited!

With it being a last minute trip, and didn't have time to properly save, so we are staying off property in a 2 bedroom condo, and getting a 4-day pass to Disney. We are also doing Sea World one day (free for military) and having 2 lazy days. DH is from the Orlando area, so that will give us the time to visit with friends & family in the area.

I did manage to get reservations for 1900 Park Fare's Character dinner and Chef Mickey.

Have a great time. And thanks to your family, my family is safe.... Thank you.

You're welcome! I am very thankful for this board and all of the great tips that I've already gotten!

I'm so excited for you! 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickeys are my kids favorites. We'll be there Dec 4 - 11 and ofcourse had to fit those 2 places in for meals. Lots of great advice and tips to be had here, it really does make a difference in your trip planning.

A heartfelt thank you to your family for all the sacrifices you've had to make on our behalf. I hope you have a truly magical vacation.

I did want to ask- we are doing 4 days- 2 days at MK, 1 day at AK and then I am undecided about doing Epcot or HS. I was leaning towards HS, just because I feel Epcot is a little "older" and HS has the Beauty & the Beast show (DD3 LOVES B&tB)! Thoughts?!

Yay! Congratulations on booking your trip!

I'm planning a last minute December trip and leaving from North Carolina as well! My daughter's birthday falls during that month (14th) and I actually think that's the week we'll go ... it'll just be her, my son and me, but I'm super excited.

Have tons of fun!

@newdisfamily- I wish that we could go earlier in December like you. I am fearful of the crowds and 2 small children... Oh well, I guess we just breathe and enjoy the time together! :)

Welcome to the DIS!!!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful trip, and thank you for your service!!!

Great to hear for you! I would guess you are Army or Marine Corps since your are in NC, thanks for the service either way :woohoo:

Not sure if you saw this yet:

Hats off to the Mouse and friends at Disney for doing this for our troops and thier familes :cool1:

That's wonderful! The Christmas decor will be up and what a magical time to visit WDW. Keep an eye on the Disboards as well as All Ears.net as Disney runs specials for military quite a bit (for future trips). Maybe check out Shades of Green in the future, I hear it's really nice and only for the military and their families. My DD is in the military too. I hope y'all have the best trip ever!

Hey! We are in the same boat with kids ages. A friend told me Epcot will have all the Santa's around the world and the Nemo ride is great but I think I would go with HS, we are going at beg. of Dec. HAVE FUN!!!!! God bless!

@McIntoshTx- We have actually been both- we were at Camp Lejeune for the Marines and then we transferred to the Army and are now at Ft. Bragg. Lol! Yes, I know about SOG, but they are booked for the holidays... No worries, we found a condo off site. :)

@Cin- Thanks! I am SO excited for this trip!

@HappyCrew- Okay, I think DH and I would really enjoy Epcot, but I wasn't so sure about the girls. Glad to hear you are in the same boat and leaning towards HS too. Have a great trip!

Welcome to the DIS--congratulations on your upcoming trip to the World. God bless.

We're going to be there the same week :woohoo:
I know it's going to crowded but I DON'T CARE!! I can't WAIT to see Epcot all decorated with all the Santas :goodvibes

We're going to have little kids too and they LOOOVE Epcot - honestly our little guys don't really like HS because there aren't any rides for them.

Have a great time and thank you for your family's service. My brother is at Bragg and my sister and her hub spent many years at LeJeune so I know the kind of sacrifices you make for the country. Thank you.

Forgot to mention that your little princess can meet Belle and the Beast for pictures in France in Epcot (they come out and stand right by the water in the little garden - you get beautiful pics!!) That was one of our favorite moments last time we were there :lovestruc
