Just picked up lotto tickets for stocking stuffers...

Hubby and I rarely play the lotto, but around Christmas I usually pick up a few for our stockings.

I picked up a couple Mega Millions for the drawing on Friday night. Figured the next drawing is next Tuesday (after Christmas) and wanted winning (or losing) tickets by Christmas morning!

So anyone else get their lotto tickets (for stockings or not)?

Only reason the idea for lotto tickets came to mind was the size of the jackpot for Mega Millions.....$173 million!

Yea, me and DH would be racing to stay at the Polynesian....maybe concierge level! Hey, I can dream....

A few fellow employees gave us scratch-offs for Christmas, but 37 of us also went in on a pool for the MegaMillions. The only winners were a $50 and a $2.

I bought a couple of scratch offs today. Hubby wanted one, so I got that one plus one for myself. I scratched mine and won $50!!! Yay for me!!! I love scratch tickets but hubby never seems to realize to get a few for my stocking. Might have to remind him AGAIN this year!!!

I picked up scratch-offs for DDs and DGD, thinking to put them in their stockings, but they came with large, fancy decorated presentation folders and they wouldn't fit in the stockings! So we'll just give them to the girls after they empty their stockings.

Scratch offs in stockings here. I was suckered into one of the holiday ones which I believe don't pay as well. I can hope on the wheel of fortune ones though!

I started this as a tradition with my DNiece and DNephew a few years ago when they were both 18 and now we have a blast scratching tickets before we open the other presents. They're hard to buy for so it's been the best gift I could give them. So far they've never won more than $5 on a single ticket but I'm waiting for the day when they win something big!!

Yep -- first time in a long time that both jackpots were over $125 million at the same time. If I don't hit them both, it would be a great disappointment...

Yes every year my brother and I (27 and 29) get a few scratch offs in our stockings. One of the best memories was we always said if we ever won big,we'd split. Top prize was $200 and my brother scratched off the 200 and I got a 25...we could not believe it we split $225!
