Thank you all.
We went to the cemetary with just the immediate family; me, Jeff and the kids. They took us to the wall and handed me her box and I put it in along with my dad and their 2 dogs that had been cremated over the past few years.
The funeral director left us alone and I bawled my head off.
I guess we didnt explain well enough what was happening to Alex (9) who asked what did you put in there?

We told him it was grandma and grandpa and he looked surprised and sad.
Today was planned last minute before we went to Hawaii and since we just got back on Saturday night and it just came up so fast that I guess even though we mentioned it to him we didnt sit down and talk about it. We did that tonight. Better late than never. He didnt understad why the boxes were so small and how they fit in there. I had to explain cremation to him.
So now he understands and I feel better after all the emotional stuff is out.
These were my adoptive parents. I also have contact with my biological parents even though only my dad wants anything to do with me.
It was my biological paternal grandfather that died today. I had known him for more than 15 years. Alex looked a lot like him. Same ears!
Once again thank you all for the kind words.
