Just off the Magic! Wonderful time!!

How did you like the show Tangled? Did you go to the pub takeover they do?

Did you do the Aquadunk?

Loved Tangled.

I walked back to the pub to check it out, but I can't drink beer (thanks to gluten) and could not find the GF ones they supposedly have on the menu. It was cute - I just wish they had merchandise.

No on the Aquadunk. I'm not that crazy. LOL.

Did you do the Aquadunk?
Obviously not OP, but I can tell you about AquaDunk
The scariest part is not chickening out right before the floor drops. Because the ride is so short, you can often miss it your first time with your eyes closed.

We have never cruised out of Miami before...what was your PAT and how was boarding?

My PAT was 11:00 . The terminal was a little smaller than Port Canaveral but it went really fast and we were on the ship around 11:20. We are Silver CC members and we had no line checking in.

Nice! I don't think they even started boarding before 11:45 or so, and then it was slow getting started. We were Group 3 (not that there were many in Group 1...and I don't recall any in Group 2 (maybe one or two families?) which seemed REALLY weird. Then they called 3 and 4 at one time. Yeah, that made sense. We were close enough to the front we were the first of that group to board.

I agree with no line checking in. They were even using the Concierge stations for other CC members if there was no one in the concierge line. This I know because I was looking all over for my parents knowing I was at the first non-concierge check-in spot and finally found them at the concierge check-in area.

We had whatever the earliest slot was - 11 I think. We were still Group 3 - which seemed really weird because Group 2 was maybe 12 people. I guess the people who got Group 2 weren't so excited about getting on?

We are platinum but were told the port doesn't open until 11. That's why I wanted to find out how everything worked out for you. I think I'm going to call DCL tomorrow to make sure I get the correct info.

We got there right around 11 and there were people in already.

What is this pub takeover??

I am sailing on the March 17 cruise as well. It's my birthday! I've been on the Dream and the Wonder, but never the Magic. I'm excited!

I was also curious about the boarding process at Miami, since we've never sailed from there before. The only PAT we could get was 1.30. My dad is Gold, which makes the whole stateroom gold, so I thought we would have had access to a better PAT.

The night you have Tangled, the thugs take over the pub and it becomes the Snuggly Duckling. I just walked in quickly to take pictures, but it is really cute!

I'm guessing you didn't check in at 115 days? That is where the advantage comes in - it's not a certain amount of cabins in each club level for PAT, it's a certain amount of staterooms in each PAT slot. Since Platinum don't have to choose a PAT, Golds who check in at their date would have the choice of any.

But in terms of process, it is just like at Port Canaveral - you show your cruise booklet and id, go through the scanner, and then up an escalator. You get the health form and get into line. Check in like normal. By 1:30 you should be able to just board - I would think they are at open boarding by that time.

no we didn't check in at 115 days. I just checked in. I didn't realize I needed to do it so soon!

Yeah...especially this close to the cruise everyone who is booked can have checked in. Platinum can at 120 days (with Concierge being able to give shoreside their requests at 125 days), Gold can at 105 days (sorry...not 115 I hate math LOL), Silver can at 90 days, and new cruisers at 75 days. Slots are open until they are filled - which is a first-come, first-served basis.
