We did the Cozumel Highlights, Ruins and Discovery Cultural Park. In Jamaica we did Dunns River Falls and Dolohin Encounter. What port adventures did you do in Cozumel and Jamaica?
Commodore Tom and DarrenWho was your captain and cruise director?
We have cabana 2 in January! I was looking for some reviews and could not find any for that specific cabana. Did you like that one? Any pictures? Thank you!Just finished 7 night WC in the Fantasy. It was awesome. We sailed 2 rooms concierge. We did port adventures in Cozumel and Jamaica. We also had Caban 2 on CC. Would love to answer any questions
Ria and Hubert were our hosts. They were great and spoke to all of us by name. Probably the most interactive of our 3 cruises. Hubert said he would be home for Christmas.Who were your hosts? Any of them mention that they were leaving for vacation in the next 2.5 months?
We are doing the Dunns River Falls and Dolphin encounter. What did you think of it? It was my favorite port adventure. The falls hike was incredible and not too strenuous. Lunch was great too. How much was the photo package? We got all photos for 6 people for $300. He even made 2 copies since we were in 2 stateroomsWas the time with the dolphin awesome? It was really good and the trainers were great, too. We were in the water for about 30 minutes. There were 4 dolphins and about 8 people per dolphin. I was kind of expecting a kiss and out of the water. We each had 4 different interactions with the dolphin and then there was some extra small group interaction. It was worth every penny. I will say that they will not cancel for weather. There was a pretty severe thunderstorm going on while we were in the water. Here at home, events for the entire day would have been cancelled.
What did you think of the Cozumel excursion? It was a great way to experience the highlights of the culture. I am glad we did it and would recommend it, but I would not do it again. It felt terribly rushed the entire time, but it was well organized and very educational. Was it terribly hot? It was pretty hot and humid. The air conditioned buses were great.
Did they do the Halloween celebration? It was Halloween On the High Seas. Was it fun? This was our second Halloween cruise so we didn't do as much with this one. We did dress up and the characters do too. If you don't like huge crowds and chaos, it is not for you. We do love to people watch. There are some pretty creative people out there. The great thing about it is you can go all out or hardly notice Halloween is being celebrated. Do you have children who did the trick or treat? They did last time. Disney places trick or treat bags in your stateroom. You basically walk around the atrium as cast members hand out candy. Good candy not the cheap stuff.
What were your favorite things about your trip? That is a tough one. I really loved everything about Jamaica. That port adventure was great. Our servers were great and so were our hosts. Shows were great. Oh yeah. My wife won the $5000 bingo jackpotWas the food delicious? Of the 3 cruise we have done, I thought this food was light years ahead of our previous two(Wonder and Dream). I don't know why. I may have just been really hungry. Did you do any BBB?No
I've read that they have the fancy coffee machine in the concierge lounge. DH wants to know if they have regular coffee in the concierge lounge? I am not a coffe man, but my brother-in-law drank it. I know it had cappuccino, hot chocolate and other options. I am not sure about what all they were. My brother-in-law did say the best coffe of the week was out of a styrofoam cup and purchased at the top of Dunns River Falls. Do they have iced tea in the concierge lounge? They did not. They had Coke products, orange and apple juice, water and sparkling water out on the counter. There was milk, beer and Perrier "hidden" under the counter. There were various tea bags to make hot tea, but no iced tea.
We have cabana 2 in January! I was looking for some reviews and could not find any for that specific cabana. Did you like that one? We loved 2. We were in 7 two years ago and it was great. In 2, we were so close to bathrooms and Cookies Too. Also a short walk to Pelican Plunge and bicycle rentals. My wife's biggest complaint was being so close to the family beach and getting "the look" for being on the other side of the rope. It didn't bother me a bit. Any pictures?None yet, but you will love, love, love it. Thank you!
I made no requests. I believe I would stick with 2 if I had a choice. The close proximity to everything was great.Thank you! I'm curious if you requested #2 and if you had a choice would you pick 7?
