Just need help deciding which location

I agree with those who said the best deal was SSR. We've stayed there several times, and I have to say that I was never really crazy about it until my last stay in November.

I do think it's a good idea to stay at a resort before you choose your home resort. I absolutely love the feel of OKW, I think it's a calmer atmosphere than some of the resorts. I've always felt that if those units had more closets, I could move in and live there.

That being said, my d/h and I love the Boardwalk/Beach Club area. When we first bought at OKW there was no other DVC. But at that time, the points required for resort hotel nights were so cheap that we would stay at the Beach or Yacht Clubs rather than OKW.

We're waiting for ROFR on a purchase at BWV now.

Choose wisely. And remember that the children won't stay small forever.

I think the best advice which is stated over and over..... "buy where you want to stay and will be comfortable for years to come." With the various changes that have gone on with "DVC rules", one never knows what is going to happen down the road regarding one's ability to book and stay at other resorts.

we were in a similar situation, but with an extra child: ours are 7, 5, 2.

We stayed at the Boardwalk hotel this trip, did the DVC tour, and talked to many DVC members at the Boardwalk and while in route to the parks (on the boats, bus, etc).

The person that gave me the best advice owned SSR. While his kids are young and he can go offseason he will trade for resorts close to the parks (VWL, BLT, BW, BC). When the kids get older, he will be happy to stay at SSR - close to DTD and to the golf courses. Sounded like a perfect setup.

Anyway, good luck with the decision!!
