Just me and the kids!

August 16, 2014 can't get here soon enough...yeah, this will be my 29th time to Disney World but it's my first since December of 2007. This trip is extra special, however, because life has changed drastically since my last visit. This time it's only me and my 8year old daughter and my 11 year old son and my birthday also takes place right in the middle of our trip. Their mother and I divorced in 2008 and this is the first vacation that I will be taking solo with the kids and I can't be more excited...now, back to sleep so I can be properly rested!

Been there, done that. Just a quick tip - it'll more than likely be very hot (obviously) and crowded so plan in some down time/pool days to get extra bonding time in. One adult + 2 cranky hot and tired kids doesn't equal to a good time.
