"Just want to say that I'm ok but I'm at the hospital" My DH is a Deputy Sheriff and he works in a Courtroom, well he had a inmate that had told the judge that she hasn't been recieving her meds at the jail and she feels like she is "going to go off". Well she did and in the process of my husband trying to restrain her she fell on his wrist and twisted it really good, at least the DR thinks that he said he didn't see a break but that doesn't mean there isn't a hairline fracture, he will have to see how he feels as it heals that will determine a break or not. He says he's not mad at her she can't help what mental state she's in if she's not getting her meds, he's ticked off at the Government for cutting funding so these types of people can't get the treatment they need ( mmmm, sounds like a subject for the debate board).
Funny thing is last August he had a crazy lady attack him at the courthouse and he came home with a huge scratch on his face which left a little scar. Guess August is just a bad month for him.

Awww, I hope your husband feels better soon. What a scary call. He sounds like a really good man, compassionate and understanding. That really is a shame for all that were involved. I'm glad he'll be as good as new soon.

It sounds like it can be a rather rough job! Hope it heals quickly. (I agree - I think the state of California needs to rethink some of the programs - or lack therof - for the mentally ill.)

Hope your dh's wrist heals quickly and that he has no further work-related injuries! He sure seems to have a great attitude about it though.

Guess August is just a bad month for him.

I've read people feel more violent in the summer time than any other time of the year. Something about the heat. I guess your dh could attest to that.
