Just Listed My Home For Sale!

I just signed the agreement to list my home that I've lived in the past 15 years. It's kind of sad. So much (good and bad) has happened in this house. This is the only home 15 year old DD has ever known. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to get to our new home in Florida! It's just hard letting go of the old no matter how great the new will be.

I used to live on Overland Park, KS.. KC is a very difficult place to leave.. but I am sure you will love your new home just a s much and maybe better..

And I've been in FL 15 years, this home almost 8 years. I want to move to VA and am thinking of putting my home on the market. Want to buy it?

Sorry, Pin Wizard, I've already begun building a home in Windermere. Windermere is a subburb of Orlando. It is about 10 minutes North of WDW. The house will be completed sometime in May. We plan on moving in June after DD finishes the school year. I'm sure that we will love our new home. Letting go is always hard. Not only are we leaving our current home, but I retired from me job after 30 years. We are leaving behind many good friends. Putting our house on the market has made it seem so final. On a more positive note, I've already met several people by chance that live in the Orlando area and they've been so nice.

In October, DD and I were having breakfast at the Swan. The lady that waited on us was so nice. She gave me her business card and told me to call her once we move. She wants to show us the malls! Later, we were driving around the neighborhood to which we will be moving. We slowed down to look at a house that is similar to the house we are building. The lady came out to talk to us and invited us into her home to look around! Wow! She was so friendly. And, we met a lady and her two teenage daughters at the Hard Rock. She gave me her phone number and asked me to call when we've moved so that the girls can get together. Such nice people! I really am looking forward to living in Florida!

We just moved to Ocoee Florida back in August we are right on the Windemere line. We live in the subdivision Wesmere. Which development did you buy in....We love this area you will be very happy here. Best of luck on the sale of your house and best of luck with your move.

Sounds GREAT! Like Legs22 said...it's much different here in South FL. Not friendly in the area I'm in. And it's kind of like Little New York. Good luck with your move!!

I hope your house sells quickly and you get the price you ask. I would be so frightened to list our house. It just seems like an overwhelming project. Good luck with this!

Good Luck with the sale! I think moving to Fla. would be awfully nice. Did you ever hear about burying a statue of St Joseph in the backyard to make a quick sale? I did it last sale and our house sold in 3 weeks. We had a great yard and the house was one of the last affordable propertys in a popular subdivision, that did the trick I'am sure but the statue story is interesting too.

We just sold our house and are debating a move to Florida sometime this year. We keep weighing the pros and cons - currently we are renting a condo until we make up our minds.

We are not retired so would have to find jobs - at least one of us would need to have some kind of benefits. My parents live in Oxford, which is between Orlando and Ocala (lots of "O" words there). They say jobs with benefits are few and far between in their area.

I really like the Clermont area and are also considering looking at Ocoee. We will be there in a couple weeks and will be touring around.

The temp here is supposed to hit minus 30 degrees later this week so that may be the deciding factor!

Here's some sell quick PD for you.....

We're in the middle of movving right now, we sold our house back in July because we got a great offer. We're moving into the house we built tomorrow- happy dance!

We came this close to moving to Florida but then changed our minds, we drove through the area you're moving to, very nice!

I hope all goes smooth, you have a bidding war on your house and your new house is finished ahead of schedule!

I need to find a job in Orlando first, but then my family of 4 is making the move. DH can find a job once he gets there. I can go ahead without him and the kids. We have no home yet there and will need some help. First, our house must sell. Something newer and Orlando area. I have applied at a few WDW positions....no luck yet.
