Saturday, 9th June 2007

We spent the whole day in Paris as we expected that this would be the most crowded day at the resort of the whole week.
We returned to the Hotel New York after a great day at 10pm.

Sunday 10th June 2007

We had an early breakfast on Sunday morning as we wanted to benefit from the extra magic hours. We arrived at the park at 8:15 and there were only a few people. But I was a little bit disappointed as only Fantasyland and some attractions from Discoveryland were open. The evening extra magic hours on Wednesday were much better as the whole park remained open.
We did some rides at Fantasyland and Buzz and left the park at 9:30 to have a good position at Studio one. The day before the two new attractions were officially opened that’s why I expected many visitors at the Studios. And I was right. At 9:45 the whole Studio 1 was stuffed and people had to wait outside.
When the gates opened at 10am almost everybody run direct to Crush Coaster. I have never seen such scenes at the resort before. And although we were among the first 100 people who left Studio 1 we had to wait 60 minutes to ride Crush Coaster.

The new attraction is very cool. But many kids were disappointed as they were too small to ride it. I heard many children say: “But I want to see Nemo!”
The waiting area is one of the best at the Studios and the attraction itself is split in two parts. The first part is very soft and calm. And you can see many scenes of the movie (this first part can be compared to the Peter Pan attraction) but then all of a sudden it became one of the wildest coasters at the resort. And even though there is no looping it is a very hard ride even for adults. If they would offer this ride for magic unlimited I would not do it more than one time without a break of at least 4 hours.

As the resort was not as crowded as I expect it to be we had the chance to do some rides in both parks and to see Tarzan, the Once upon a dream parade and Candlebration.
We had a snack at lunch time at the Fuente del Oro. We have never been in this counter service restaurant before and we were really surprised. It is a nice atmosphere, the food is more than OK and the price is not too high for the amount of food you get.

The main meal of this day was our dinner buffet at the Plaza Gardens. After 2 not so good experiences in the past we gave this restaurant a third chance and this time the food was OK. And for 17€ per adult (with 15% shareholder discount) the price was acceptable.

The park closed at 9pm and we went back to the Hotel New York because we ordered a taxi which would bring us for one more night to the Holiday Inn.
It cost us 10€ to get from HNY to HI but therefore we didn’t had to carry our backs from HNY to the bus station to change busses.

Monday 11th June 2007

After check-out on our last day at the Holiday Inn and we left our luggage at the train station.
We started again at the Studios and today we only had to wait 45 minutes to ride Crush Coaster.
Afterwards we did some shopping and at 2pm we had our last lunch at the Blue Lagoon.
Once again the meal was superb. From the starter to the dessert everything was perfect and the atmosphere is outstanding even for Disneyland.
At 4pm we saw a last time the Once upon a Dream Parade and afterwards we left the resort with the TGV via CDG.

Once again a very nice trip with a perfect hotel room, a great new parade, two wonderful new attractions a more than adorable decoration and and and and…… :wizard:
