Day 3 - Tuesday

I decided that today would be the day we went to see Cinemagique. There was no EMH, so we took our time over breakfast. We went to the Studios, hoping that the queue for CC would be short - it wasn't, so we headed over to watch Cinemagique. I want to say a big 'thank you' to the Disers who recommended this show when I first started planning this trip.:thumbsup2 We all thoroughly enjoyed this, including all the little surprises.;) I would not have bothered going to see it if it hadn't been recommended.

After this we went in to see Stitch Live! Jessica loved this - she admires his gross sense of humour, as it matches her own. We checked out the Studio Tram Tour but it was closed again. That was a shame as I like this tour. Olivia and Kev did RNR again and then we headed to the Park.

We went to Honey I Shrunk the Audience. We had queued for a while and we were quite near the front. The show started in 4 minutes when Jessica announced that she needed the loo. We had to leave the queue and popped next door to Buzz Lightyear's diner (is it Pizza planet?) I thought it was very dimly lit. We dashed back to HISTA and were lucky as we missed all the Kodak advertising.:thumbsup2 Jessica freaked out at the cat/lion moment and had to be persuaded to put her glasses back on. We all really liked this show. I know some people don't rate it, but I loved the dog 'effect' at the end. Kev took the girls on Star Tours after this. I don't like this as it makes me feel queasy. We had another blast on Buzz and Kev and Liv went on Space Mountain again. We went back to the hotel for a short break, but I insisted that we would be watching the OUAD parade today!

We got back to the Park and looked for a place to watch the Parade. After doing a complete circuit, we found a place behind some young women. I have to say, for every bit of bad behaviour, there is someone very kind. One of the women saw the girls and motioned to her friends to let us all squeeze in. We had a great view!

Jessica was very confused as this Mary Poppins didn't have Mary Poppins' face.:rotfl2: I explained that this Mary Poppins was the DLRP one, and that she was extra-magical. We were also really lucky because Jasmine and Snow White came off the floats and danced in front of where we were standing.

The girls managed to collect some streamers at the end and Jess said the parade had been one of her favourite things.

We went back to the Studios and witnessed something unbelievably stupid. Olivia wanted to go on TOT again (we did this ride a lot) so we queued using our DLH Fastpasses. We were almost at the front of the queue and the CM had lined everyone on their 'spots' ready to load the ride. All of a sudden there was some commotion in front of us and a young Spanish boy projectile vomited, not once but 4 times. His family were gathered around him and he looked a little dazed. I would say he was about 9 or 10. Anyway the lift doors opened and the whole family (including the boy) proceeded to board the ride! The other people on the ride were all shouting 'Non!'. The Spanish boy's family was arguing with the CM, demanding that he be let on! The CM refused and one of the boy's relatives escorted him off the ride. I felt so sorry for the child - imagine putting him on a ride like that when he has been violently sick? Unfortunately Olivia has a huge phobia about people being sick, so we had a few tears from her too.

We were eating at Annette's that evening, and after several more rides, we arrived there at about 7pm. As we were waiting to be seated, Elvis made an appearance! Our drinks arrived on wheels - yep, we had a roller-skating waiter. A Health and Safety issue, surely:rotfl2: If you haven't tried the Vanilla Shake, do yourself a favour and get one the next time you are there! A thank you to Bob for this recommendation, it was soooooooo nice. Yum. The food was nice but terrible over-priced. All of a sudden, a waiter made an announcement. They were going to sing! They sang Greased Lightning and Jess sprang to her feet and started dancing with complete abandon!:cool1: The waitress grabbed her hand and dragged her off to dance with the staff but she lost her nerve and came over all shy. She came back to the table and we both boogied to 'Freedom'. We spent quite a while in The Disney Store, letting the kids choose their souvenirs and then off back to the hotel.

Unfortunately the evening didn't end there for Kev, as he got a very upset stomach and was being sick through the night. Is this something to do with Annette's or just a coincidence?:confused3 The kids were completely unaware that he was ill, as they fell fast asleep, but I was concerned that our last day and travelling back would be difficult for Kev and the rest of us.

LOL the Mary Poppins face comment made me laugh.

Also must of been terrifying to see someone throw up just before a ride, i probably would of gagged myself.

i am loving your tr. ok you are really worrying me about annettes now *** thats what happened me last time and i missed a whole day of my trip. think i might get the fish or chicken next time. i know what you mean about stupidity, on my trip one night in the bar there was a couple with two kids. the kids were crying to go back to the room *** they were tired and they wouldnt budge. one boy fell asleep and the other sat with his head on the table sobbing. i felt like tucking them up in bed myself!!!

anyway im glad you enjoyed yourself. i think i will have to catch hista next time

Kev was the only one who was sick - also the only one who had a beefburger. I'm not 'mum-of-the-year' but you see some stupid behaviour, don't you? I let my kids dictate the pace and we had a much happier time as a result. Imagine not taking your kids to bed.:confused3

im the same i just judge it by ash. i was the same i was the only one that had a burger. and the sad thing is mine was really nice so i almost dont regret it :rotfl2: to be fair i noticed my burger was pink and i said nothing but im used to my meal very well done so that could have done it

Kev really enjoyed his too!:rotfl: I suppose that makes it easier to stomach, hehe. Go for the chicken burger instead. I had the veggie one and it was very nice. The kids had chicken nuggets.

I too had an upset stomach after my meal at Annettes - a burger - mine was the 'other way' though

Sorry to hear about Kev - did he improve before your trip back?

We never kept our little ones up late (well, past 8 pm) when we were there - we were up so early for EMH every day and sooo shattered by the end of that, that we didn't think it fair. In fairness though, we had my Mum & SDad there so we just took turns to keep watch over the children while one of the couples went to the DLH bar for a few drinks and then bed by about 10.30 pm. It was really nice to be able to do that. Not sure what we would have done otherwise - the bathroom didn't look that appealing every night :rotfl2: I think, if we just went as a family of four (without my Mum), we would look to stay at the Marriott purely because of the lounge/house aspect for the evenings.

Another great day, Juliette. I took Nicole to HISTA whan she was 5 & she cried all the way through it & I haven't brought her since. I think it is very scary for young kids. I hope Kev felt better the next day for your last day of the holiday.

Vomiting does seem to be a regular thing at DLRP, when we were there Josh also suffered from it. Hopefully it's just that bug that has been going around and not some issue with the food there. We were both fine apart from having been vomited on of course.

Loving your TR.

Thanks Steve. Emilia was also vomiting on Thursday night. Can't blame that on Annette's though!

Oooohh, too much vomit talk

But a great report, thanks.

Another great day with the exception of people falling ill

Sounds like you had a good day.

Just a question, did Kev have the chicken at Annettes?

Poor Kev

and poor wee boy on TOT I don't think I would have wanted to go in his lift

I hated TOT but I think I seem to be the only one :confused3

I couldn't believe his family would put him on it after he was so ill. If that was one of my kids, I would have taken them back to the hotel to lie down and have a cuddle. They were more concerned about not getting on the ride than the little boy. I loved TOT but I wouldn't do it on a full stomach.:crazy2:

Aw bless her getting all shy when taken up to dance. My DD did the same thing in June. She went on and on and on about the High School Musical parade and then the cheerleaders dragged her up to dance with them and she went all shy and came back to us :confused3 Kids eh?

Sounds like another great day.

Do you know? I was also wondering if it had been Annette's that had made our kids ill. We ate there the night before we left and then all 3 kids were sick when we got back. Don't want to make accusations but it does seem a little strange to me
