Just how good Port Orleans Riverside is.

I am so glad to read this thread. My husband and I stayed at POFQ in 2013 and really liked it. The only negative was the food court except the bignets. We are staying at POR from January 5th until the 12th of 2019. We now live in Florida and do not have to pay for air fare or worry about transportation since we now live 90 miles away. We also bought Florida resident annual passes.

POR has had my heart since my first stay back in 2002 or so. I joined DVC in 2008 and the one thing I miss is staying at POR as often as I used to. There is no resort lovelier in the early morning walking to the main building to get a cup of coffee.

Anytime I plan a trip that does not involve using DVC points, I try to stay at POR.

We fell in love with POR when we stayed there in June. I had not stayed there since it was Dixie Landings and my memory was foggy. Honestly, my family is deluxe snobs. We like to split our stays between the YC/BC and Poly. We decided to give POR a try to save some money. I admit, I was nervous, but we loved everything about it - the boat ride to DS, the pool, the food court, the rooms, the landscaping, everything - honestly, I don’t have one complaint. We loved it so much that for our 12-night trip in 2020 to celebrate my 40th, we are now considering staying at POR and splitting our stay with either the YC, BC, or Poly instead of our original plan of a YC/BC and Poly split.

POR is always our "pre-game" resort. We're DVC members, and we usually fly down either Thursday or Friday and stay at POR for a couple of nights before we move to our DVC villa for the rest of our vacation. We love the grounds, and the boat to Disney Springs is very convenient as we always head there for our first vacation dinner.

Love reading all the positive posts about POR. I’ll be staying there for 7 nights a month from now for the first time. It’ll be my 4th time visiting WDW and 4th different resort. I’ve been to ASMo, BWV and CS, so I’ve tired all the resort levels. can’t wait to experience POR for myself soon!

Stayed for the first time at the French Quarter over the weekend. We used the amenities at both resorts. I was skeptical about staying here. We were blown away! I don't know why it took me so long to stay here(we've stayed at all the other mods), but we absolutely loved it. I don't want to stay anywhere else! The amenities are amazing, location is great, and the rooms are adequate.

Been going there for a while now, it just seems like Riverside always does it right. Its a great middle of the ground option for any family. The location of the resort allowing easy and quick bus trips to any park, a very nice and beautiful boat ride to Disney Springs. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. The hotel is built around a Central lobby "hub" making it easy to walk around. The grounds and building are absolutely stunning, walking around the grounds really transports you into the Cajun South. I just cant get enough of this resort. The value is spot on when it comes to Riverside.

Please give POR some love.

We absolutely love POR! I'm taking my boys down for a much needed break from a very stressful summer and the only place I could imagine booking was back at POR! We've stayed there 4 of our last 6 trips and it's our favorite!!!!

POR is our favorite moderate. Love the rooms and the grounds. Very quiet and peaceful, lots of shade too. The food court is wonderful. We have even made special trips to eat there when staying at our DVC resort.

We have always wanted to stay at Deluxe but cannot justify the price at this time. We stayed at POFQ last time and loved it but figured we would try Riverside. CBR got too many negative reviews and Coronado looks nice but is a convention hotel. We were going to stay at AofA but we are 2 adults and no offence, we do not want to be surrounded by kiddos. One day, we would like to stay at Wilderness Lodge during Christmas.
