Just had an earthquake in California?

The house started shaking. It wasn't a bad one here at least. The other possibility is the Space Shuttle? Are they landing at Edwards now?

Any other Cali people feel anything?

We used to call those "personal earthquakes", LK! That's when you thought you felt an earthquake and everyone else thinks you need a little sleep....

Hey, the last earthquake I experienced in California was the Northridge quake. I thought I was dreaming that my bed was moving across the room & things were flying & then I realized that I was AWAKE!

I moved to Michigan shortly after. I sleep much better now.

Southern Ca... home of the original "SHAKE AND BAKE"

Up here we had a real sharp jolt last week.. scared the pee jeebers right outta me.. it was over a 4.4.. epicenter 1.5 miles south of my house.. whew... Hollister is aka QuakeCity as we have the most recorded shakes in Ca... ah how lovely....

Did not feel anything today...

Doc.. do ya think ya might have felt an aftershock related to Me*ico's 7.8 earlier this week?

After our earthquake a few years ago, I think I feel one - paranoia I guess. One night I woke up and even turned on the tv for news, no news so I watched for news again in the morning. I was just convinced we'd had an earthquake but obviously we hadn't. DH told me that night that he wondered why I got up and turned on the tv the minute he rolled over in bed!

I remember which quake started that "slogan"....the Whittier Quake! That was my maiden quake voyage! I remember it was 7:30am (aprox) & I thought there was an explosion in the Aircraft building (in Pico Rivera) I was working in at the time. Silly me, I asked "what was that?" as I was running out with the rest of my co-workers (as portions of the ceiling were crashing down on us) & they all said "AN EARTHQUAKE!" Well, ex-cuuuuuuuuse me for not knowing!! That was quite an experience. It was also about 100 degrees during that time, THUS the saying "SHAKE & BAKE!"

Gee, and I've been complaining about the cold weather here in Michigan but the ground has not moved since I've been here, so I'd rather freeze my "you know what" off, rather than have it "shake" unvoluntarily!
