It is 100.00 of an AP and 125.00 off an PAP.
I am so Excited,Just had to share.

Wow! Very exciting if this comes to pass. Any word on when this new perk becomes available?

Shan

I hope we can get the discount @ TDS. I will be buying mine on the 2nd.

Do you think we have any prayer of getting this in December? I wanted to get APs at this next trip.

Is this just for a limited time or will it be available from now on?

If this is so, I am psyched!!!

Thanks for doing some detective work.

2 things......

I wish they would start this before Christmas. It seems like a lot of people would buy for Christmas gifts (I don't mean for friends, I meant like me buying one for DH.)

I wonder if the $ off applies to Fl. Res. AP's?????

Thanks again for the scoop!!!!!

I wonder how many you will be allowed to purchase at the discounted price. Trust me, I am not planning on buying 100 but we are 4 in my family, I'm wondering if we can get 4 annual passes at one time at the discounted price?

I hope to heck they do something with PH and PHP passes for those of us who would get NO use out of an annual pass--otherwise, I will feel ROYALLY screwed, as should the nearly 40% of members of this board who report using other than annual passes.

luvindisney world- Did your guide mention anything about AP renewal discounts?

Waahoo!! We just decided to get AP's for the first time since we are going in June 2005 and March 2006! I'll be saving $400!!

My bet is they will have to be ordered through member services so that they can keep control of the number you buy.

I'm going Dec 4 and have to buy new passes, so if it's Jan 2 I'll actually have to wait until May 2006 (my next trip after this one expires).

You might be right Debbie, in any case, as long as they give me a $125 discount for 4 passes, I'll be glad to order them in advance!

That's $500 saved. Like getting 4 for the price of 3!

We like to stay for a week at a time, which is just a day or so short of how long it takes for a standard AP to be cheaper than a DVC-discounted UPH. With $100 off, we'll move to the annual pass instead--and we'll harvest additional in-park discounts as well. So it will be a good deal for us even if we don't use the come-back-355-days-later trick; and if we do, all the better!

I hope you don't think these discount programs are supposed to be a magnanimous gesture on DVC's part to thank us for buying into the program.

The purpose is to get you to spend money that you wouldn't have otherwise spent. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the discount only applies to APs. Its purpose: to induce those who are currently using park hoppers to buy APs, spend more time (and more money) in the parks, and ultimately buy more DVC points to suit their new touring needs.

I'm going to cross my fingers, close my eyes and click my heels together..."there's no place like home, no place like home......."

:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I wonder if the discount is the same for the child AP passes.... I'm buying AP's in Dec. But, looks like I have to wait for renewal before the discount.......

Hope this is true... I need to buy 2 more in Jan for my 11 and 13 year old. DH and I just bought ours for our Nov. trip....Glad I didn't buy all 4 in Nov!
