Just got off the phone with DH and I am so sad...

Thank all of ya'll for your words!! DH and I went to DDs practice tonight and they did their routine for the parents so at least it was something. DD also got a medal for ballet! They gave awards out at some banquet, but I did not know about it?! Note to all you moms: While dads can make great "ballet moms" they tend to forget to mention any announcements they hear at class like if there is a banquet or what color tights you have to get for recitals!!! After ballet we went out to eat with a friend who just got back from Iraq this afternoon. DH said some of the guys from the unit are going to come to DDs recital and will bring her flowers which is really sweet and thoughtful of them!!

That is so sad. I hate it that your dh will miss the recital.

It is a kind gesture for the guys in his unit to try to make it in his place though.
