Just finished a 4 night Bahamas cruise with DH, and DSs (22 & 17). Great time! Our second cruise, both with Disney; first with kids. First time was on the Magic. Loved it. Loved the Dream this time as well. Had read a lot of comments before going, mostly positive, and our experience was great.
Got to the port later than last cruise, but as Castaway Club members, things went quickly. We're with my parents, not members, but they got to board just minutes after us. We were directed to the Enchanted Garden for lunch (Cabanas getting full). Great choice and perfect timing. Lunch was a hit with all.
Had 5D cabin on deck 6. Loved the verandah! Don't know if we can do an inside cabin again. We were in 6150, aft. Requested midship for next time (yes, we did book). Reason was mainly convenience. It's a long ship.
Food was wonderful ... Boys agreed. DS-17 enjoyed Vibe, but still did a lot with the fam. DS-22 also had a good time but didn't feel there was much for his age outside of clubs (not his interest). He felt it would be a great trip to take with a group of friends though.
Loved Castaway Cay. Spent more time there this trip. DH and sons did the 5K--shout out to DS-22 who came in first! The boys snorkeled (loved it) and spent most of the day on their own.
AquaDuck was great! Each enjoyed multiple trips, including my Dad (76 tomorrow)! Loved the shows. No real complaints. I honestly think if you go with the mindset that it will be great, expecting there will be a glitch or too and take those in stride, you'll have a wonderful time. Positive/negative--it's all perspective! Can't wait to go again.
