Just got my letter about the OKW pool.

Just received a letter today about the rehab of the main pool at OKW. We're scheduled to stay there in November.

It says that they will close the pool September 6 & are hoping to reopen it in mid-December with the new slide. It said you can use your "pool hopping priveleges" to any of the pools with the exception of SAB & the AKL pool (as usual). It also suggests that you take advantage of the "ferry" over to SSR to utilize their facilities.

We had requested a 2BR near the Turtle Pond area before we even knew of the refurbishment so I am hoping we will be able to get that & that it won't be terribly crowded - but even if it is - that's more DVC members I can meet!

Is it just the pool they are redoing? Or are there other areas involved? We are booked to stay there late Oct and would love to know what areas are affected.

The letter says the spa, kiddie area & playground will be closed, along with the main pool. Hope this helps.

Just got my letter as well, yesterday. I'm schedule to be there Dec 3 - 12, 2004. I'm hoping it is done before or during this trip. It will definately be complete (according to the letter) for my January trip.
