Just thought I would share the change in my cholesterol numbers - as I know so many folks worry about low carb eating plans. I (like sooo many others) am living proof that this really works to not only lose weight... but improve your overall health.
Here's what my cholesterol info was on 3/13/02 prior to starting Atkins AND during my huge push to lower these numbers using LOW FAT/HIGH CARB dieting
Total Cholesterol 232 (not good should be 200 or less)
Triglycerides 124 (within normal but LOWER is better)
HDL Cholesterol 67 (within normal)
CLDL 140 (NOT GOOD!! This is the bad cholesterol and should be under 130)
So here is the latest test I had taken recently - just monitoring my IMPROVING stats
Total Cholesterol 171 (In the OKAY range lowered 61 POINTS!)
Triglycerides 64 (AWESOME - these are the bad guys!)
HDL Cholesterol 57 (within normal)
CLDL 101 (NORMAL and this BAD cholesterol was lowered 39 POINTS!)
I eat good. I lose weight. I am not hungry. My energy and emotions are more stable now. AND.... I FINALLY improved my cholesterol numbers after YEARS of struggling with high carb/low fat diets.
I'm a LIFER folks.
