Just got home from 7 nights at POR. OMG, the crowds were insane!!!! Crazy busy- like I'm not sure I've seen in my almost 30 trips to Disney.

I'll be back to give a quick update on our trip.

Any questions?

People have been saying it's been super-busy. I know things are picking up where I live. Just try getting into a nice restaurant!

Funny I arrived here Tues and I would say the parks I went to were empty...Epcot on tues empty alittle more crowded at EPcot on Wed night but it was EMH ,walked on things at AK on , but more crowded on Fri at MK but still not bad..I guess we just hit the right park for the day...I did read somewhere that some FL schools are having a long weekend so that could effect the crowds some...

But what a cool way to go insane. Hope your trip was memorable!!!

We just got back too and while I won't say it was insane, but it was definately busier than the last time (2 yrs ago) we went in October. Especially the Halloween Party. Now, while we never waited in line for more than 10/20 minutes for anything (DHS, AK and MK), I did think that there were just a lot of people everywhere. Gorgeous weather though! I mean I don't think I could have asked for better weather!

Last Saturday- MK was a wall of people. I haven't seen crowds like that since 2000- and I'm almost thinking this time was worse. People mover had a line. I've never seen that. It was crazy packed. (for what I'm used to over the last several years) I normally go in Mid Sept. or Mid Nov. Although, I've been many times in Oct. This is the most packed Oct. I've seen in the last 16 years of going regularly. I'm not used to waiting 50 mins on Big Thunder or longer for Splash. Although, we did do it - it was painful. :lmao: We went to the MK 3 times and still didn't get to ride everything. One other trips we did all we wanted in one day. Times are changing, people are traveling again.

Sunday- back to the MK, MUCH better. Lighter crowds. I'm thinking it's better to hit the parks that the time crowds list NOT to go to. :rotfl:

Monday- Epcot. Not bad with the crowds. I can't complain. Test track was 40 mins. (I also woke up sick so I was in a cloud)

Tuesday- Animal Kingdom. For me, it was packed with people, but the lines were OK. Mt. E only had a 20 min wait.

Wed- back to the MK- Big mistake in my book. Swarms of people- sorta wasted the day... we were all sick by now and just didn't feel like waiting 50 mins in line for splash or Big thunder. Space Mt was 90 mins at it's best time. Fast passes were a must. Waited maybe 15 with Fass Pass.
Small World opened, waited 20 mins and the ride broke down. :headache: The wait time was 40 mins. (again, I've almost always just walked on so to me it's crowded) The line was changed- you now enter where you got off in the past.

Thurs- DHS. Packed, packed, packed... but the lines were OK. Never made it on Toy Story- 2 hour wait.

-- I was just surprised by how busy it was. A lot of school aged kids.

The weather was perfect!!! No rain, low to mid 80's. We all ended up sick, but we just kept going. Lots of cold meds this trip.

I personally didn't have an issue with the busses. I guess just hit the time right.

I'm hoping to get another trip in soon- maybe with less crowds. :rotfl:

We just got back from 8 nights yesterday and we were quite happy with the crowds! I would definitely not consider them insane. I think November crowds were lighter, but not by that much.

I find that very interesting... we're you at the MK on Saturday or Wednesday? It was crazy busy! IMO

We did DHS on Friday, 10/15 - no waits for rides or shows, got a FP for TSM at 10:30 AM w/return time of 4:40. The wait for RNR was up to 40 minutes at about 5:30, BUT, ealier in the day we rode RNR and TOT with no waits at all. I did think there were a lot of people, but not sure what they were all doing :)

AK on Saturday, 10/16 and again, no waits. We even walked into the 2:00 NEMO and had great seats. EE was a 20 minutes wait, but the line continually moved. Again, no waiting, but just a lot of people. Flame Tree BBQ was a madhouse at 11:30 AM

We go to MK on Sunday, 10/17 at 3:30 to get in at 4:00 w/our party tickets. We got in at 3:45 and rode just about everything (sans Dumbo and the people mover and Splash Mtn). In fact, we didn't even have to get off BTMR...they just let us go again! The trick or treat and character lines during the party were NUTS though and both parades were packed!

I'll agree with the crowds on Sunday- we were there during the day and it was much better than Saturday or Wednesday. One cast member said compared to Saturday there were about 3/4 less people. Seems I picked the wrong parks on the wrong days. :sad2:

I just wanted to let you know that I have pulled your just back/any questions thread from the board. We know you are excited to share your knowledge about your trip, but unfortunately, we can't allow this type of thread. On any given day, we have dozens of DISers just back from trips, and if we allowed this type of thread, the boards would be hard to navigate if many posters posted this type of thread.

Additionally, the moderators feel that this type of thread is a personal message to the original poster, which is against DIS guidelines.

We encourage posters to share their knowledge and experiences by answering questions, and sharing a trip report on the trip report board :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Disney Is always crowded, even during the off season.

Nah, not always. I was there last year Mid Nov. during a MVMCP I could count the people on Main st. Maybe a dozen? I went to Toon town and I have vidoe tape of me sitting on a bench and not seeing another person in sight. Went over to Peter Pan- not only walked on but we were the only ones in line. The Cm said... Oh look, People! :rotfl:
