I have seen one at Boardwalk that is $18920 for 220 points in April, and another at $17000 for 200 points in August.

Does this mean we are tied in to going in these months?

Presumably these are one off payments that buy you into the DVC and then there are just the annual fees to pay on top?

Also, most of them say in 'notes' for example "200 points currently available and 200 points coming on 8/1/06. Priced at $85 per point."
What does this mean?

Hi! The month indicated is when you receive your points, when they hit your account if you like. You can travel whenver you like, if you have the points (or if you wish to borrow points from next year).

Using your example, the available are ones that are in the account not spent yet (were issued August 05) and the new allocation will arrive on 1 August 06.

We bought direct from Disney because we wanted the extra 12 years at Saratoga Springs. We are still free to stay at any DVC resort if they have availability. At 11 months before travel you can book a stay at your home resort then 7 months before travel you can book the other resorts, this gives owners a 4 month booking advantage at their home resort. For this trip we booked our home at 11 months then switched at 7 months.

We just paid the total cost as one off then our dues each year. If you buy a resale there may be other costs, I have no experience of this.
