We just returned from our 7 night Mexican cruise....June 8th-15th. We had a great time...We actually rebooked for Sept 26th 2009 Eastern Cruise. I will post more later tonight hopefully. If you have any questions feel free to ask. :thumbsup2

HI Rebecca :yay: We leave for this cruise on 6/22. Who was the cruise director? Any special talents (comedians etc)? How was the live band? Was the Pirate Party fun? Was there a buffet after? What were the special "Mexican Rivera" items for sale?

Be careful what you ask for when you asked if anyone had questions!

What was the weather REALLY like? I hear people saying it was cold, but when I looked at the weather at the ports for the dates people mentioned, it said that the highs were in the 80s and the lows n the 70s. To me, this sounds just about perfect. Could you clarify what the weather/temperatures were like?

TIA!

In Ca, and out at sea it was very cold, extremely windy, over cast every single day and at times some slight showers. In Mexico it was VERY humid, warm and over cast every stop. Not even close to perfect weather, but you asked for the truth. ::yes::

Brent was the cruise director....There was one gentleman gosh I can't remember his name, who was a comedian and played the gutiar and did impressions of singers...he was awesome...The live band was, well.......unforgetable, the Pirate Party was very nice, but it was VERY cold, and windy that night so it was a little bothersome, and yes there was a buffet that had HUGE turkey legs and many other goodies and there was also a midnight chocolate buffet one night as well, and as for the special items they had many pins, one that was sooooo cute 3d of the ship with all the stops, and they had a cute hoodie and t-shirts, and coffee mugs as well. I hope this helps and have a great time.. :thumbsup2

Was is John Charles? He was on the WB PC and was so awsome, they had him stay on the ship longer. (He wasn't originally scheduled to go through the canal with us, but we wanted MORE...so they kept him on longer.)

Thank you! That explains the discrepancies I saw between the weather reots and the accounts of people returning.

Yes, John Charles was on the cruise as well as Heath Hyche, Ron Pearson, and Justin Kredible.

I thought the weather in Cabo was nice - sunny and warm. Mazatlan was overcast with showers and Puerto Vallarta was also overcast. I think it was in the high 70's or low 80's in Mazatlan and PV. The first sea day was not warm but I didn't think it was that cold either. The last 2 days were chilly and windy. I don't think we went outside at all on the last sea day.

They had a lot of Mexican Riviera merchandise for sale as well as Mexican items like what you would purchase in port.

i have a question :)

what would you reccomend bringing? as clothes wise? becasue by your account of the weather im wondering if its more jeans vs shorts and dresses or do we need like diff clothes for the island. etc.

Rebecca had the perfect description of the weather. At all the ports the weather was warm but out at sea the last two sea days it was chilly, pretty much too chilly to be out by the pool or swimming. We broughta few light zip-up sweatshirts and it was perfect. I wish I would have brought at least one pair of sweats or jeans, though. I think as the summer goes on it will be warmer out at sea. Just bring a couple long sleeved shirts or sweatshirts and you should be fine.

Does anyone know what time the port/terminal opens? I have read what time people have gotten there, but I would like to know the official opening time. TIA!

Hi, The trips sounds great. We are going on our first time ever cruise on 20 July 08, just 5 weeks away. I have a few questions. How is the room tempeture in the cabins? Can they be adjusted, because I do not like when a room is too cold. Next, since we have a inside cabin should we bring some kind of bed side lite or nightlight? Since there is no window the room would be pretty dark. What is the Rainforest people refer to in the Spa? What do they do there? What is CaboWabo in San Cabo? And lastly do they sell regular film for cameras on the ship. I have a wonderful old glass and metal 35mm camera that takes great pictures so I do not have a digital one but I want to make sure they carry film just in case I run out of pile of film that I will bring with me. Thanks for your great report, we are counting the days.

We are trying to arrange flights back on August 10. Normally we would stay overnight but due to a change in school start dates we have to be back the SAME day :( What is the earliest time to disembark and how is LAX for security (ie, do you still need to be there 2 hours in advance or more?). Thanks in advance. Can't wait to read the rest of your report.

Hi:
We were on the 7 day Mexican Riviera Cruise that got back 6/15. We had an 11:30 am flight, but had the late dinner seating. So we were suppose to have the late disembark. We went to Guest Services and had to show out flight time and were given a early disembark sticker and early luggage tags (they take the luggage off in stages). We ate breakfast at Topsiders and they started letting people off the ship about 7:40. We were through coustoms in about 15 minutes. We had booked a car service to pick us up. It was about a 20 minute ride to the airport. We got there way early.

Which airport did you fly out of. We are trying to figure if we can do a 12:50pm flight out of LAX. I think its about an hour from port, isn't it?

:thumbsup2 You will love the room temps... ::yes:: It was very warm for our whole family, in fact so warm we actually requested maintance to come up and try to get it cooler for us. They were only able to get it a few degrees cooler, but it was better then it had been. As for the bed side light, I personally would/do bring a digital alarm clock, it provides a small light and your able to tell what time it is, the only other clock is an old fashioned wind up one that has no light, and another option is leave the closet open just a crack, once you open the closet door the light comes on. ;) The rainforest is basically like a huge sauna/steam room with lounge chairs. And coboWabo?? I believe is a club/bar, and to be honest we don't drink any alcohol so we have never been there. While I did not see any 'reg' film being sold in shutters, but they did sell plenty of memory cards, but that dosent' mean the store on board wouldn't sell it, not the toy store, but the one across the hall....they have a small supply of just about everything you might have forgotten. I have long hair and had forgot to pack any bands for ponytails, they had a nice selection of various hair itmes, and right along side of them was ummmm... :rolleyes1 boxes of male "protection" So i'm sure you would probably find reg film there:yay: Enjoy your cruise!! :lovestruc
