Just got back. What do you collect from each trip?

I collect silver charms for a charm bracelet. My mother, who traveled the globe and even worked on a barefoot cruise ship, has a very full charm bracelet she passed on to me, and I wear it often and think of her. This past April, I started a bracelet for DD 10 mos. bought a couple in Disney, and since I just took a new job traveling the country, I"m going to try to buy a charm in each place I visit.

but I do collect something every trip. I always buy a Lucky Cat in the Japan Pavillion. These cats have one paw up in the air. Apparently merchants in Japan would put them in the entrance to their stores for prosperity. Each one, by color, stands for something. Like money, happiness, luck.

They are really pretty and look great on our display shelf. Not to mention they remind me of my trip.

Well, the past two trips I've taken I've gotten a stuffed animal (a literal animal too) from a shop in the Animal Kingdom. I forgot what its called. But I intend on every trip stopping there and getting an animal each time.

My first purchase is those chunky magnets with the characters and year on them.

My second purchase is the small photo album with the year on it and it holds about 100 pictures.

My third purchase is the big scrapbook photo album again it has to have the year on it.

Then it is up in the air. We usually let our daughter pick out a new disney hat each year.

My son usually picks out one of those character light spinner thingies.

Of course, there are the tons and tons of pictures that I take. I also try to get quite a bit of video. My kids just love to watch our home videos of our trips.

One other thing I collect is the free Disney vacation planning videos. My son just loves them. I've lost count of how many of them we have.

I also collect fridge magnets...I like the ones that are like clips and I also get one with the current year.

I also buy a large bath towel each year and a set of S&P shakers. I like the towels because I have enough to use one every day after my shower and it reminds me of the magic....they are actually great quality as well.

I collect license plates from the various parks and hotels and attractions. I tack them up on my wall in the spare bedroom along with various pictures taken at WDW. Easy to pack and affordable.

Sounds neat! What size are these? I'm going to look for them in my Dec trip.

Last trip, my mom and I were searching for shot glasses. Apparently, they only sell "toothpick holders" at WDW ;)

Aside from "toothpick holders", we collect coffee mugs and pins.

The first year my DGD collected autographs. She was 3.

The next time we went we thought she would like to collect and trade pins. She decided she wanted to collect pressed pennies. :sunny:

She still likes the pressed pennies so I'm making sure I have a couple of rolls of new pennies this year.....
