Was at ASMu for 6 days. DD and I had a great time. We arrived at the resort around 11am. Our room wasn't ready yet. I asked where it was and the CM told me it was in Rock 4. I asked if there was anything closer. She made a call and told us there was a room in Jazz 2 and it was avaible now. YAY! We were as close to preferred building Caplyso as we could be wihtout having to pay the extra $$. Our room was 2612, the second one away from Caplyso. A good way to start our vacation. We took our bags to our room then headed to EPCOT for lunch with the princesses in Norway.

The weather was hot, humid, and rainy (except it didn't rain at all yesterday and it was by far the hottest day of our vacation.) The crowds were huge, but suprisingly we didn't have much of a wait time for any ride. Our longest wait was for The Great Movie Ride.

We took advantage of FP, did the mornings(not usually early mornings though), breaks in afternoon and went back in the evenings. (We were at MK until 2:30 last night)

We rode RnR for the first time...several times, DD loved it. Also our first time for Space Mountain. We only rode it once. It took me until last night to talk DD into it. We rode it during regular park hours with a FP, but the line during EMH was unbelievably long so we skipped it.

We did Mission Space on Sunday. It was intense but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. DD wanted to ride it again but I thought our time would better spent elsewhere. lol Soarin was amazing. Used FP but even if we didn't I think the wait in line would have been worth it. Its definately a must-do on future trips.

Stitch...like the Alien version much better. I definately could do without the chillidog. lol

Last night we did EMH for Mk. We didn't leave the park until 2:30am. We rode Splash Mtn 3 times, twice without even having to get off. Then we headed for BTMRR one last time. We were the last people to ride it. When we got off they closed it down.

We did all we 'needed' to do in the first 3 days or so, then the last days were for us to do whatever we wanted and do our favorites again. It was actually quite relaxing.

We had a great bus driver named Jeff on our way back to the resort from MGM. His name was Jeff. The bus ride home could have been considered an attraction. Then on Saturday evening we went to take the bus from ASMu to MK so we could walk to the CR for dinner. The bus driver heard DD and I talking about going to Chef Mickeys so he offered to take us directly to CR instead of to MK. We were the only ones getting on the bus. He actually said "lets pull away from teh bus stop so one else gets on and i'll take you to the Contemporary". That was way cool. Our own private bus on DDs birthday.

Any questions? We had an awesome time and are already planning for our next vacation. (Can't keep it a secret this time. lol)

Glad you had a good time. We are heading to ASSp for 7 nights next week and hope to see a lot, but get some rest time in, too. I don't plan on doing EMH's, except the last night at MK until 2 a.m. Would you do that again? Was it worth it. I figure that by then, we will have seen what we want to see there, but it would be a good way to end the trip. (We are travelling with 2 families who've never been to WDW)

Since the EMH for MK was our last night, I would absoutely do it again. It was definately the best way to end our vacation. The only other EMH we did was a morning at AK. The first hour or so was crowded but after that it cleared out a bit.

So was the ASMu resort busy? We are going in a couple of weeks and hope to God we are not in the Country Building. Since we are getting there around the same time you did, we may have luck on our side.....

I hear the crowds are larger than usual in the parks, did you notice this or was it still busy but manageable?

The crowds were huge, but the lines weren't bad at all. Used FP and hit the rides at the right time. I did notice the posted wait times were usually a lot higher than the actual wait time.

If you do get there early and your room is far away, ask if there are any closer. We got really lucky with that one. Couldn't have asked for a better room, except maybe one on the ground level.

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a nice time. I know what you mean about liking Alien Encounter better than Stitch! Once was enough on that ride! I wish they had left it the Alien Encounter. :)

I had first requested first floor, then I changed our request to the top floor. Which, in ASSp, would be better? I don't think we'll have much chance to say, but we are a GG with 3 families and 5 rooms - checking in next week!!

sounds like you had an awesome time. Driving tomorrow night hopefully our trip will rock just as much.
