Just got back, mini report!

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to read upcoming trip reports!

We are trying to get ressies for December of this year.

Ashley,
How was the marina noise on the 300 loop? I've seen people talking about the boats from MK blowing their horns. I was wondering if you noticed them or not. Thanks for the report!!!

I'm not Ashley but, Have stayed in 300 loop several times. You can hear the boat horn and the EWP music. I find if I'm awake I hear these, but is not loud enough to wake me. We are in a camper, it is louder if you're in a tent.

Yes! you could even hear the MK train! i miss waking up to hearing the horns and train and then water parade and wishes at night. The train sound starts early, wonder why. thats one of the best things about that loop. oh how i miss being there.

I'm not Ashley either, well I hope not anyway. We've never stayed in 300, but we were in 200 in June 2007 and I never really noticed the horns bothering anybody while at camp.

I could hear the Parade (fairly loud), but I like hearing it :)

I could not hear the horns, I guess I am a sound sleeper! What did wake me up was garbage men since our site was next to a dumpster.

i heard the garbage men too but the worst was our last 4 days, we had a woman and two children (one was the one that got hit by the van) and they were up by 7 and were very loud, their dogs were up also and barked at everything and were running around the loop dragging leashes. Probably the worst was when they started up the leaf blower at 7 on their patio. their back end of the trailer backed up to ours so it was like they were right there. i wasn't too happy but at least it was at the end of our stay and the kids were such nice little kids otherwise.

I think I'm a reasonable, happy camper,,but there are times that I just would not be, and rude campers may find that out.

yeh it wasn't easy for me to not say anything. when the disney "suit" came to talk to me about the accident involving their child, i made sure he knew the dogs were running off leash. there's no greater dog lover than me and i admit , i even called the dogs over when i saw them running but i was concerned for their safety as well as the safety of the other animals who WERE on their leash. We had to get up early the morning of the leaf blower, or i swear, i would have said something. it was practically in our bedroom, even with the a/c on it was horribly loud. Their trailer was more for the dogs (literally) i think so they made their main living area outside and they were cleaning it up i guess.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I forgot that I also was awaken to the construction noises in the 500 loop

I would have at least let the CMs know about the leaf blower. That is unacceptable if not completely against the Disney rules. I can't imagine someone bringing their own leaf blower.

the site next to those people, the week before, washed their entire RV! i always thought that was taboo in any campground. there was soap running all over the place and i kept thinking, i hope no animals and wildlife are near that. I was so happy to be there for two weeks, i pretty much just shook my head and looked the other way but i didnt think it was right. what would you guys have done?

When there in Jan 08 EVERYDAY a van would come in and wash the winter campers rigs and cars ALL day long, after 3 days we asked the front desk what's the deal with this noise all day long. The CM said it was perfectly fine with Fort management. So for 8 days our peace and quiet was disturbed by powerwashing. Also the guys with chain saws taking out the trees and foliage, which was more understandable. But it was very noisey that trip.
