Just got back... I can't believe...

how PERFECT our trip was!!!! I went into it with so many worries about my kids' behavior, money, etc and it was amazing! The crowds were light and the weather great (we only got rained on twice and it wasn't very hot.) We came out under budget on food and got to splurge on souvenirs. We met so many wonderful people. And my kids (GASP!) were wonderful! Throughout the trip I would hear kids throwing fits or whining and they weren't mine!!!!! I wish we could go back tomorrow!

I heard a WDW commercial on the way home "There's nothing more magical than a WDW vacation" and I have to agree! I hope all of you with upcoming trips have the same kind of magic we did!

That is so nice to hear. We got back on the 20th of May, and we had a wonderful time as well. I had been worried, cause we were celebrating my bday, and since I was 12 if it could go wrong on my bday it did....... SO it was a VERY nice surprise to have such a wonderful trip. I am so glad your kids were so good for you. Hopefully they loved it as much as you, and the next trip can be planned soon. It definately is Magical!

We has the same experience. We went into this trip with a good attitude but knew the kids would be a handful. They were great. We were so surprised at how well they behaved. It was a great trip. Since that trip was so good, as soon as I got home, we started to plan our next trip. I'm glad you had such a great time.

Glad to hear your trip went so smoothly! I'd like to hear some details too. Where did you stay? How old are your kids? Which park or parks did you spend the most time? Do any character meals? I'll be traveling with my 2 nieces (5 and 1-1/2) and sister. This will be their first trip so if you have young children I'd love to hear about some of your experiences. Thanks!

I am going through those same worries now, not so much about the kids, but a few of the adults.
We are having a FAMILY vacation. This consists of me, my husband, our 6 children (4 mine, 2 his) all married except one that is still at home with us, their spouses and our 9 grandchildren. I'm sure some of you have in-laws that give you a little worry.
I will not let my family vacation be ruined, I will not let my family vacation be ruined, I will not let......

I didn't even think about including details, silly me. We stayed at ASMo. Our 2 DS's are 7 and almost 3. We spent a lot of time in MK and AK. We did not do character meals due to budget restraints. Maybe next time. I'm also in the process of writing my trip report. I will post it over on the Trip Reports board as I get it done. I'm headed over there now to put up the first 2 days.

I sure hope all of you are right about how well-behaved kids are on vacation. We're leaving for WDW next Saturday, and my 2 DS's (11 & 13) are driving DH and I insane!! Constantly fighting, screaming, farting and burping (guy stuff), can't even sit next to each other on the couch without starting a fight. I keep reminding them that they'll have to SHARE A BED (gasp!) on vacation, so they'd better learn to get along. This is the one part of my vacation that I am NOT looking forward to......

LOL, I am so glad I am not the only one who worries about my kids fighting and family disputes ruining my WDW vacation!!!

Amy--- My kids are 21 months apart(DS7 & DD5). They cannot sit on the couch or in the car without fighting. Its all day long!! School is out next week and I am already wondering how I am gonna make it this summer. We leave next Saturday for the Poly and I keep telling them that they are not going with me and Dad if they don't stop FIGHTING! Hopefully they will be perfect angels . I know the heat will bring out the worst in them and me for that matter,LOL. So if anyone can throw some pixie dust this way I would greatly appreciate it,LOL.

hipporina--- I am so glad you had a wonderful trip. Doesn't it feel great to come home under budget. That is always my goal. Most of the time we do. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome back! Isn't it just wonderful when a trip that you worked and planned for goes great? We were there the first week of May and I truely believe this was the best trip we have ever had. If the weather hadn't been so darn hot it would have been completely perfect. I hope all you folks putting on the finishing touches of your trips have a fantastic time and everything goes smoothly.
