I have to say that were VERY pleasantly surprised by POFQ. We've previously stayed at CSR, WL, POR and Poly. Poly is our favorite deluxe and POR was our fave mod. POFQ is now our favorite mod! This was a spontaneous trip for us. We went last Aug and plan to go next August, but decided to surprise our kids with this shorter-than-usual trip. We're planning our next August trip to Poly, so decided on a less expensive option for this spur-of-the-moment trip. We decided to try something new, but knew that if we didn't like the food court and/or pool, that POR was just a short walk or ferry ride away. Needless to say, we LOVED FQ!

It was just so, well, un-crowded. We never once had a crowded bus, always got a chair at the pool, and the food court was rarely crowded either. Granted, we didn't spend a whole lot of time at the resort itself this trip (we usually take mid-day breaks, but decided to stay in the parks all day this time to maximize our park days.) We absolutely loved the fact that POFQ is first picked up and first dropped off between POR and POFQ.

The room and mousekeeping was great! We always had plenty of towels and refills on soap.

We took the ferry to DTD once and that was wonderful!

All in all, I even told my dh that I'd be perfectly happy staying at FQ next August if that's what we all prefer. I'm pretty sure we'll still choose the Poly, but if it's easier on the budget, then FQ it is! Loved it!

Glad to hear you had a great experience!!!! :thumbsup2

I definitely want to try POFQ at some point. It just looks so charming, and I love the size of it.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at my favorite moderate resort, POFQ!! :goodvibes We had a split stay between the Poly and the POFQ.. it worked out perfectly!! But even if we didn't stay at Poly, I still would have been super happy at POFQ through out the stay.

We are staying at POFQ in November. Glad your stay went well. What was your favorite part of the resort?

I'd say that our favorite part was the small size. We really liked the less-crowded bus stops and the less-crowded food court. Speaking of which, the food court was great too. And boy are those beignets yummy!

Glad you had a wonderful trip! Ever since my first stay at POFQ in 2008, I do not want to stay anywhere else. You just can't beat it for the price and the small size and the boat to DTD. When we stayed there, it felt like no one was there the entire week! It was always so quiet and relaxing coming back midday to take a break.

Can you tell me what toiletries were in the room if you remember? I am trying to figure out if I am bringing my own shampoo/conditioner. I will be if its together in one bottle.

I'm thinking POFQ for my next trip, and happy to read your good report! What building/view category were you in? I'm still trying to decide what kind of room request I might make.

So glad that you enjoyed it. When shopping for a trip I always consider all the other resorts, but I just can't go anywhere else..

(BUT, shhhhhh keep it a secret!!)

Glad you enjoyed POFQ!! We loved it when we stayed there last year:banana: We are thinking about doing our Aug 2013 stay there since we are going back in Nov 2013. We never had any problems with the busses, food court was great and DS9 loved the slide because he is not a strong swimmer:yay:

The shampoo/conditioner was the blue Disney bottle and was combined in one, not separate. My dh and ds use it, but I bring separate shampoo and conditioner for dd and me.

We were in building 4, which we requested and was steps away from the main building. We were on the 2nd floor and had a garden view room overlooking the courtyard area and parking further out. We don't typically pay extra for "rooms with a view." That place was silent! We never heard our neighbors at all.

We stayed at POFQ for 1st time late July and loved it too:thumbsup2 We got free upgrade to garden view. We were in building 6 third floor right beside the movies and never heard a thing. We never had a crowded bus and rarely even had to share with POR. We did have to wait up to 20min a few times for a bus but that was rare. It was really a lovely resort.

Is building 4 close to the bus stop?

So glad you posted this:) we will be there next month. First time staying at pofq.

Happy to hear to had a great time and loved the resort. We will be staying there May 2013 in a garden view room. Our last stay many years ago was at POR. Love the boat to DTD. So we decided to go with the "sister" resort this time.

So glad to hear you loved POFQ! Poly is also our fav deluxe, and I've been contemplating POFQ for our next short stay. You have encouraged me greatly :)

So glad to hear such positive comments!
We will be there in 4 days!!!!!
can't wait.... It will be our first time at POFQ.

That's great you and your family had a great time! I would love to stay there one day. The resort is smaller then some and you can go between FQ and Riverside. The boat is also a great plus! I'm hoping I will go next summer also!

Since you love POFQ, it's probably going to be hard to stay at the Poly after they give you the price for that resort. We have never stayed at the poly but I really want to try it but just have a hard time paying the outrageous price they ask to stay there. We stayed at the GF with a 40% discount and really liked it but there is no way I can stay at a deluxe without a decent discount. Have fun next year.
