Just got back. FP+ good and mostly BAD

My question, what were all these people doing before they were waiting in lines, before FP+ rollout?

Are there all of a sudden more people, and why are they now all waiting for rides that never had much of a line before? It makes no sense!

We were at WDW in January just after all the parks switched to fp+ only and we were able to walk on to plenty of rides back then. We just returned Tuesday from a week at WDW and we found that the parks were so crowded that we mostly only did the rides that we had fp's for. Spaceship Earth had such long lines even at 8pm at night that we ended up having to get a fp to ride it. That ride has always been a walk on at night. :confused3

But I really blame the huge Spring Break crowds for most of the long standby lines. The fp lines were not long at all. I felt sorry for families who had never been on the rides before and had no choice but to wait in long lines for them. Disney really needs to change fp so that there isn't any tiering, let people park hop, and give everyone more fp's.

We had a great time, though, because we spent a lot of time doing other things besides trying to ride the attractions.
