We just got back last night. We had the free dining plan - it was great!!
More food than we could eat. Our table service meals were:
Concourse Steakhouse: Food was very good, so was the service - left an extra tip. DH had prime rib, I had New York strip steak, DD5 had cheese pizza, DD8 had mac & cheese. I had salad, the others had shrimp cocktail. Would definitely go back again.
Chef Mickeys: Food was good, service was excellent - also gave this waiter an extra tip, he was very attentive. It was our DD8's birthday the week of the trip, they included her in the birthday celebration even though it wasn't her birthday the day we went here. Characters were great, came to our table several times.
CRT Breakfast: Was disappointed with this one,
especially since it is so hard to get. It's a small restaurant and very cramped, tables very close together. Food was just okay, would have liked more to choose from; had choice of hot or cold plate, kids had no choice. DH and I both got the hot - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, stuffed French toast. I did not like the French toast. Our waiter was not good, not very friendly, DH had to ask twice for a second serving. He also would not help me with DH's wheelchair. We brought DH to the table in the wheelchair, then they moved it out of the way; when it was time to leave, the waiter said we could not bring the wheelchair back to the table, DH would have to walk to the elevator; so I went and got the chair myselft and brought it to the table anyway. The princesses were wonderful, they all signed by DD's birthday certificate.
We would not do this one again.
Bomas: This was great, food and service were both very good, left another extra tip. We took 2 friends to dinner with us, everyone enjoyed it. I'm a picky eater but there was plenty there that I liked or was at least willing to try. We had prime rib, chicken, pork, mashed sweet potatoes, mustard salmon, and more. The zebra domes were very good. Would definitely go here again.
Kona Cafe: Food was good, waiter was bad. DH and I both had the teriyaki steak, it was very good. The waiter was very slow.
Grand Floridian Cafe. Liked this one also, very fancy place. Food and service were both good. DH and I both had the New York strip steak. DD5 had chicken strips; there was too much breading but otherwise were okay. The manager came around to all the tables, we let her know about the chicken but told her everything else was good. DH had the French onion soup, said it was very good. I was also able to see the fireworks from the boat dock after dinner.
We had ADR's for Concourse, Chef Mickeys, CRT, and Bomas before we left. The CMs at the hotel were very helpful arranging ADR's for Kona and Grand Floridian. We did make a few changes, weren't ablet to get exactly what we wanted, but were happy with what we could get. If there is someplace you really want to eat, I would definitely suggest you make ADRs before you get there.
Loved the dining plan, will get it again next time. All of the meals and snacks we got would have cost approx $930, the dinine plan would have cost of $540 but we got it free!!!
