Just got an e-mail from DVC re: drawing for PAP and Disney Dollars!!

I just received an e-mail thanking me to register my e-mail address with DVC's website (I registered months ago). There will be a drawing on 7/9 I think and the lucky winner will get PAP and the runner up will get $500 Disney dollars.

I've also had the e-mail telling me I've been entered, but the rules say I can't win anything because I don't live in the US!

Not much hope of me actually winning, I know, but an equal chance with all other DVC members would have been nice!

I received the email too and have been on the list for a number of months also. When I saw a few days ago that they were running a contest if you enrolled I was wondering if members that were already on the list would be automatically enrolled in the contest. Guess the email we received answered my question.

LOL!!! I thought I was losing it. I got the e-mail, and I was straining my BRAIN to figure out when I registered my e-mail with DVC, since I went to their website as soon as I purchased back in October! Glad to know it wasn't just me.

Holding my breath until July 9th!!! I hope I win the PAP....wouldn't that be nice? I hope you all win too! ( hey, if I can't win, I will be happy for whoever does!) I DO hope it is someone from this board, so we can all celebrate ( and KNOW that it is a real drawing!)

I also got that email but wasn't surprised as I got the mailing about this drawing this past week.

the mailing they sent about the drawing said (in the fine print) that everbody who already had registered thier emails woudl automatically be entered in the drawing.

I was happy to see that as I knew I had already registered my email and didn't want to have to re-register my email.

Just checked, got the same email! But I did not get a mailing about it.

Downloaded the screen saver. At least this one works on our computer.

The other DVC screensaver we downloaded did its job a little too well. Once it came on there was no way to turn it off!

How many PAP's does the Grand Prize winner recieve? How much does a PAP cost?

I've never bought anything more than an AP, and have only bought SP's for the last several years...

The rules don't say if they are vouchers.

If DW and I won these and they are vouchers, we could use them till 2007

I don't see it. I got my monthly newsletter from DVC and at the top it says Thanks for registering your email address at DVCmember.com but I can not find anything about a contest. Am I just looking in the wrong place or was there a seperate notice sent?

I was surprised as well to get the e-mail since I had registered my address years ago! I asked DW if she had re-registered us, but as she rarely uses the computer (especially for Disney functions), she said no. This is nice that DVC is trying to look out for everyone. (Sorry, overseas DVCers. )

I also downloaded the screensaver and was disappointed that there's no DVC logo. Does anyone know if the screensaver that they used to give after you answered some questions on the DVC website was the same thing? I tried to download that one a few times, but was never successful.

I have sent an e-mail to ask why non-US residents not included - they know they have International owners

I guess International owners are 2nd class

I thought the screensaver was a disappointment too. The one from the website was better, it even had music. I usually just use the "mystify your mind" because my computer goes wacky with special ones.
