That is a really good deal Kelly, even better if it was free shipping. Newman's is my everyday favorite k-cup.

My daily cup now is New Orleans French Market coffee with chicory using the My-K-Cup filter.

Pods are for pod coffee makers. K-cups are for Keurig.

Dunkin donuts does make a coffee pod sold in-store.

Can you tell I don't make coffee....which is why I bought the keurig.. My DH and DD's x4 and their husbands all love coffee.

You need a My K-Cup filter to use your own grounds. There's a small fill line on the inside of the filter basket with the My K-Cup filter. DO NOT buy it directly from Keurig. WAY too expensive!!! Bed Bath & Beyond carries them - and I've seen them at Kohl's, Target, Wal-Mart.....

They used to sell those coffee singles bags that were like tea bags - only with coffee. Until you get the my K-Cup filter, you could just use those!

Now that you have a brewer, register it online at the Keurig site. They will give you a coupon code for buy 2 boxes, get 2 free. If you buy 6 boxes total, they'll give you a free 5 K-Cup sampler pack, and it will all ship for free. I think it's about $50 for 6 boxes of K-Cup and a sample pack. That's about $8 a box. Not bad!

As an aside - I [heart] the seasonal Spicy Egg Nog flavor. It's really quite delicious. I like a little splenda in my coffee - but no milk. But this stuff is really heavenly with a splash of Soy Nog. (I use it to save calories on the real stuff. It tastes even BETTER with the real stuff in it!!!!)

You use your own coffee in the My-K-cup filter. Fill it only to about 1/4" from the top. If you fill it too much you will get lots of grinds in your cup. Depending on what type of coffee you use, it could be weak or strong. I would do the above but use one of the smallest drop settings first to test for taste strength. If it's too weak on the smaller settings you may need to switch to a bolder flavored coffee. Especially if you want to fill a travel mug. Good luck.

I swapped k-cups with a DISer last year (ok, I'll drop names, it was Kevin) and since one of my new year's resolutions is to eliminate stuff that we do not love, that gave me the idea to post this...

DH got us a box of 18 Chocolate Glazed Donut k-cups this past Christmas, but we tend to like our coffee a little stronger. Would anyone be interested in swapping the box (there are 16 left--gave it two tries) for one that you don't love? We like Jet Fuel, Donut House, Vanilla & Hazlenut...

Our 8 month old Keurig B66 is dying - same problem so many others have had - not filling the cup, putting water back into the reservoir, etc. Have tried all the usual Internet fixes with compressed air, clearing out the needles, etc. Nothing has fixed it yet. So I wrote to Keurig customer service over the weekend, but haven't heard back yet.

Today, delivered to my front door I get a free Bosch Tassimo coffeemaker (retail price $129). The letter inside says "dear coffee lover - it is totally free, because we want you to try our T-discs." No fine print, just totally free. With a 16 pack of discs (and 2 free packages of discs when you register it).

I realize that the money maker for these companies are the consumables, so I get it - but it is clearly the weirdest coincidence I have ever had happen to me in forever!

So ... where's the Tassimo thread? LOL! Hopefully we will get our Keurig situation resolved, but in the meantime, guess I'll be using this!

Our 4th Keurig in a year is now pushing up the daisies, so I know what you mean. We actually bought a nice coffee machine and a good grinder and even though it is more work that the Keurig (which I really loved when it actually worked)- the coffee is even better and consistantly excellent, consistant being a word that our various Keurigs never knew the meaning of. Oh well, all those kcups were getting a bit expensive anyway!
