Just got a Cricut

I've always wanted one and I found one on clearance so I got it, it's the older, original one I think. But it's great to me! Where is a good place to buy the carts for the cheapest?

Check out your local Walmart. In their craft section there's will be cartridges on an endcap on sale for about $20. Not the best, but it gives you a start. keep your eye out at Michaels..they just had a 1/2 off sale might come back.

I think I may be getting one for Christmas. Saw some on clearance at Big Lots today for what I hope was a good price, so I sent DH a text to tell him. He made an errand trip after work today and I think it may have been to get one. Yay! Woohoo! It is the original one but I think that will be ok. It at least will tell me if I will like and use it enough to upgrade.

The best place to buy cartridges is ebay. The cheapest anyway and most are offered with free shipping.

I got mine on clearance at Big Lots too. Probably the same one!

Also, check JoAnn's, Michaels and Hobby Lobby you can find good sales at those brick and mortar stores too....

Try cricut machine but pay by Paypal......DO NOT PAY BY CREDIT CARD.....but Paypal is no problem. Their C.C. numbers got hacked once so I would not pay with anything but paypal.

Great sales....decent prices.


Ebay is really good as well.

Sometimes custom crops has nice sales too.

One of the three Big Lots in town had some marked down to $60.00.
Saw one at a Walmart marked down to $75.00.

Please be very leary of cricut machine to order... there have been many, many, many DIS members in our cozy little corner that have gotten hit hard by using their CC thru them... I will not order from them for that reason CC or paypal.

Joann's has the LARGE Cricut Cake on clearance for $125. I had thought about getting one of them and using it for paper - no intention of ever using it for cake - I read that if you replace the blade with the deep cut blade and housing and use the sticky mats, it works the same.

I heard that too. I have a friend who got a Cricut for Christmas and still hasn't opened it! Mine was opened before we even walked through the door! Another friend bought one last week and just opened it up last night. Crazy!

Ok, I can sort of understand the friend that just got it last week. Life is busy, sick kids, crazy work schedule, etc. can happen; but, getting it 9 months ago and not opened it yet? That is crazy! I'm hoping to get one for Christmas and I'm already searching for deals on cartridges.

Just found this great scrapbooking store Morgansmom led me to - Right at Home Scrapbooking - which is a local store in MA - AWESOME! They have a yard sale area where the prices are dirt cheap! Today I got a really good quality stamp pad for $1 in black - they had brown and I want to go back! I got a 4 clear stamp pack for $0.25! I have to walk in there with cash or I would be OUT OF CONTROL!!

My big lots only had the cricut cake machine and that was $140

Theres 3 other big lots in my area that I will have to checkout. Hope michaels will have a sale.
