Just got a call from IC!!

I wonder if the people who were called have paid a deposit. None of this makes sense.

could be! I paid a deposit I booked on November 1st for my April 2008 cruise! But that makes no sense because they should call in the order the faxes were received, no matter if the person paid a deposit or not!

it's funny, we have no interest in a Mexican cruise but I can't seem to tear myself away from this thread!

I really hope tomorrow is the day for most of you!! I feel really bad that I got a call and turned it down when there are so many of you waiting for one!

I think that IC has called people who didn't have specific requests, so that they could clarify....such as.... What date...What Category....etc

And....I think they've called people who were holding reservations (dummy bookings) already but had also requested something for summer of '08.

I think they needed to get these issues cleared up before they start making calls for the Mexican Riviera and the Repo's.

My thought is that they'll call the people who specifically asked for Cats 1, 2 and 3 tomorrow...for 2008.....to be followed by all other categories on Tuesday.

"Our TA called DCL and were informed that category 1-2-3 will not be open on the 31st but will open a few days later to a wait list. We asked becuase there are 5 of us traveling and were hoping for a suite (3 of us had a category 5 last time). So we will need to decide if we want to book 2 cabins or try for the waitlist."

I for one am going to trust in what my TA told me and hope for the best. The situation with IC seems confusing to say the least. If I hear from IC prior to 1/31, I will be thrilled. If not, then there may be people who have requests prior to mine. One thing for sure, my TA will be back to me one way or the other before 1/31 to let me know my status.

That would make sense except my request was "I would like to request two[2] staterooms in categories 1 an/or 2 for the Summer of 2008. We can sail anytime between June 20 and August 10, 2008." (or words to that effect) So, we have a reservation for a future cruise and faxed a request March 6, 2006. And yet, quite a few of us haven't been called... this is like a Soduku puzzle - there HAS to be a way to figure it out!

I hope you are right and that DCL will make the "magic" calls tomorrow

After reading the previous posts I though I would add. IC called my work number yesterday (Saturday) and DD happened to be working and answered the phone. She told them that I wasn't in and she gave them our cell phone number. I was home but didn't recogonize the number and I don't usually answer calls if I don't recongnize the number (call me stupid for not recogonizing the 407 area code). Anyway, I didn't answer, then a couple of minutes later it rang again and this time they left a message. When I listened to the message all I could think was "Why didn't I answer?". A guy named Pablo, explained about the summer itinerary and asked if I was still interested to please fax in my request for a specific date and category. I did that today and asked for the westbound repo cruise for 3 adults, category 6.

I do know that I sent in my original fax request over a year ago also received a post card telling me that they had received my request.

Think of it this way, maybe they didn't have to call you since they were able to fill your request based on what you listed and just chose a date within your time frame. They seem to only be calling people that they needed clarification on

IC called me Sat. the 27! I faxed them after we returned from 12/2/06 cruise. I said we were interested in 8/30/08. I was able to book the 7/20/08 in a Cat. 2. Cat. 1 was no longer available. I am sooooo excited the we were able to get something we wanted and that I was home to recieve their call because I'm sure the 31st will be a mess!!!

This is me exactly. I got off yesterday and I had Jocelyn fax in for both repos. What # did you call inventory control on? I was told we would get all onboard credits because the fax came from the ship.....I would love to know when you get called.....and I will do the same for you

I told Jocelyn that I was going to book a "fake" date and then move it on Wednesday. She said that instead of that, she could fax the request in for me and IC would call me. She did not say when they would call me......she made it sound like they would not call before the 31st. But I am hoping they will call before that.

I agree with your post. I think DCL should be going from a list on who requested their SR's first by original request date. If they are not, they are being more than unfair. If I had faxed my request in more than two years ago as some posters have indicated and didn't get the SR of my choice, I would be livid and quite vociferous about my feelings.

What in the world is DCL thinking????
