Just Got A 40% Off Code

has anyone had any luck with the all star suites? I know the 40% off hasn't worked in the past

I just called to see if there was a code attached to my friends name, she was scared to call! The CM I spoke to did not even act like she tried to look under my friends name, she just said "you must have the postcard with the pin # on it". Why didn't she look to see if there was a pin attached to her name? Now, I am nervous about calling back!!:confused3

I asked when booking two rooms last week at Pop. I had a great CM and he spent a ton of time with me. We tried applying the code to the A/S suites and it would not offer a discount. So I stuck with Pop.

I know how you feel. I think I had that CM today too. I already booked one reservation because I was told I had the code, so called back to check on another timeframe and had the crabbiest CM ever. She wouldn't make the effort at all. I guess I should consider myself lucky to get a great CM last week.

I don't get it....how come some people get the 40% and others don't? Also, when looking at mousesavers history of discounts, i thought codes, etc. for fall 08 trips aren't coming out until august. I'm just confused..............

People who are calling are just short-circuiting the email and US mail system would which - if all went well - deliver a message to them indicating they are eligible for the discount.

For the last couple of years, Disney has released codes in January that are good for a range of dates throughout the upcoming year. That's why you're seeing dates up to and including December.

My 40% off code worked on the All Star Suites. The 40% off code I got was in an e-mail not on a postcard. I just booked it a few days ago. The CM was great!! She almost made it seem like the 40% off code I got in the e-mail was different than the one sent out on postcards. She also made it seem like they were only letting the 40% off apply to a certain number of suites.

I don't know.... It is confusing. Different CM say different things. The first time I called the CM was really rude, and said I had to either pick between the 40% off the room or the DDP. I knew that didn't sound right so I just politely ended the call and called back.

Do residents outside the US, specifically in Canada, get sent these postcards as well? Or would I have better luck calling to see if a code is with my name?

I had a CM like that last week and he just would not look at my profile. Uh...... what if the postcard got lost in the mail? I know they can do it, so I just thanked him and hung up. Next day I got the best CM who looked at my profile and MIL's, saw that we both had codes, told me what the codes were for (unfortunately the dates only go to March :sad1: ), and even gave me some park tips :goodvibes . Hopefully I will get her again when I call back and finally hopefully have a code.

I've started writing down names so I know who is good and who is not so good. I got the same unhelpful CM 2 other times I called afterwards.

Can anyone please tell me the normal procedure as I feel so ignorant when it comes to this stuff:

I am currently booked thru AAA (since September 07 for trip in Aug 08).
Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining.

If I call WDW and I have a code attached to my name, what do I do as it is my understanding that I do not own the reservation since I booked through AAA.

Do I call my agent and tell her the code and have her follow up with WDW?

Don't the AAA Agents lose their commissions if they help to lower the pricing of a person's Trip?

The only reason I booked through AAA to begin with was because I was told by WDW back in September that I cannot get both dining plan discount and AAA room rate discount through WDW directly.

Must do thru AAA only to get both discounts.

Please help:

I got this email, is this it, or what would this discount be, if any? Thanks!

What you were told was correct...you can only get AAA discount & dining plan (no discount here though) if you book through AAA.

I always book through AAA & then a better deal or code comes my way & I have my AAA TA apply it. And she happily does. As for the commission, I'm guessing it would go down, but I'm not sure. My TA has never made me feel bad for getting a code.

Good luck!

I had called last week and was told there were no codes attached to my name. Yesterday in the mail I got the 40% off post card and noticed it was in my maiden name. I called today and got a very knowledgable girl and she noticed it was not under my married name but when I gave her my maiden she attached the two together so if I call again a code under either name should show up. Anyway, I did have a package booked thru AAA, Sept. 21-26, 5 nights at the Poly, 6 day hoppers and basic dining plan for $3500. With the code, my cost is now $2963.13. And she told me if the free dining comes out I should be able to attach it to this reservation since the pin code was really just for room. I am so excited now.

I just made my ressies and was told the same thing. The 40% pin code was good only for the room

Shoot, I called CRO and they said there's no code associated with my name. Aaaaargh, I wanted to go in August, and my dates would overlap with the August dates for the code. Come on pin code...

okay so I totally didn't see this post till just now.. I got the mailer, have our resie on "hold" and I was trying to convince my friend & her family to come down the same time we are thinking she could get the same great rate.. if she inquired about it.. since all I had to do was mention I got a mailer.. they never asked for the code.
So now I see she won't be able to get that rate... (I assume by readding all your posts ;) )
But what if I had her room tied to ours? Or booked it for them? Would I be able to do it seperatly? Obiously they will be paying there own way.. I don't want to be responsible if they cancel or something ??
What are your alls thoughts on this?

I was told I could book two rooms as long as someone with my address was staying in each room. So one room was booked under my name, & the other room I booked in my DD's name (she is over 18). Could you do something like this? Oh, and you can cancel without any penalty up to 6 days before check-in, I believe.

they let some friends of ours use the code under their own name, they linked our resi but they have their own package...the code was for me under my name...they also said i could book 3 more rooms if i wanted.
