Anyone do this..??? Last trip we hit the pavement all day everyday..and it didn't leave much time for just sitting around enjoying e/o and the simple things. We are thinking maybe this time, we will.
Anyone just go to relax?

What did your days look like? I need some nice "relaxing" ideas.

since we live in Florida, we've never gone with the attitude of having to do it all....we are lucky to live close enough to come time and time again which is why we try to choose resorts that we would like to explore and relax in...we have found great fun in the activities offered at AKL and the Poly. Just hanging by the pool and playing around are things we love the most and then heading in to a park for a relaxing dinner......

I found that when we went in Dec. we could spend a half day at the park and be done for the day. We would return to the room around 1:00. If we wanted to go out at night, we left around 3:30/4:00. It was hard for me to do, but we did get to enjoy the hotel more!

Most people go to WDW and rush around from line to line barely stopping to eat. They have fun, but do not consider it a "vacation" and often have no desire to go back..."been there, done that." We did do that the first couple of times and then realized that we would be going again and again so why not slow down!!! We never see every show and ride every ride. We always see what's new, do a few old favorites, and try a new restaraunt or two. We enjoy trying different times of the year, different resorts, ect. The only trouble I can see with that is if your kids are very young they might not want to skip anything. Mine are old enough (youngest is 8) to understand that if a line is too long or we just want to go back to the resort and swim, we can catch what we miss this time on the next trip. We are DVC and go at least once a year.....we find it very relaxing. We also travel to another vacation destination at least once a year and enjoy planning those trips too!
