Just getting off the Wonder...

We are going to be in #25 on CC in a month, happy but bittersweet, it will be the last day of 13 glorious nights onboard The Magic.

It's really amazing!

p.s.: If you wonder why there are three names on the sign... In Quebec, a wife cannot take her husband's name... So they put all our names on the sign!

It's the last one on Serenity Bay so it felt very private and quiet.

I don't know if they change the cast members on CC every time but we had Wetan taking care of us all day (there were just two cabanas, the others were not rented that day) and he was absolutely fantastic.

ahhhhhhh...... thanks for the pics, Can't wait to have a relaxing day there.

We usually cruise to CC in winter months so I barely get in the water, I'm glad to be there in May so I can go all the way in and float along......

The water wasn't too cold to swim! (o.k. we are canadians, we might not have the same idea of what is the right water temperature to swim LOL)

There is a lot to see in Serenity Bay's open water... We saw 1 stingray, 3 barracudas, a starfish, a school of fish and two other specimens that day. All that when we had water to our knees (or thighs for the stingray).Very impressive.

I am SHOCKED you did not see your room steward, that is the pits. :( We saw both of ours ALL the time and we loved them both. They made our sailings so special.

I am very sorry about that part, but it sounds like you had a fun time overall! Yay!

I'm from AZ and I don't get in the water unless it's 80+. I probably won't get in the water in May. My favorite time to cruise is September when the water is nice and toasty. I have a pool in my backyard that gets too hot in Summer..low 90's in July/august. I'm a total wimp when it comes to cold water.

We did. :)

It's just that for the premium we paid (three times the price of another cruise line) we expected to see our host more and also we were expecting a ship who looked "brand new" (especially when she's been under dry dock very recently). We've been on the Dream twice in the last two years and it definitely looked better on the exterior and we saw our hosts all the time!

This is disappointing to hear. We were on the wonder about a year ago and we felt the ship needed work then, especially in our cabin bathroom. I agree that for the price things should be impecable. We also smelled sewage smells on the ship.

Off topic, but how far advance did you get your luggage tags? We are cruising in 20 days and haven't received them. This is our 15th DCL cruise, and we were on the Wonder 5 months ago, and I swear we've always gotten them around 30-40 days out. I know they changed the online check-in process. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

I sail 5/1 and we haven't received ours either and this is a topic on a few folks on our cruise is chatting about.... seems like the Dream is sending them out much closer to sail date this year is the chatter I've heard

There was definitely no work done on the cabin bathrooms. The corking was yellow-brownish...

We were on the Wonder in February and did not have any issues. The ship was in great shape and service was top notch.

Surprised to hear that the Wonder is looking so drab. I thought that was what dry dock was for. Since you just got off the ship can you tell me what movies were playing? I'm doing the EBTA on the Magic in a little over three weeks. We got our docs last week so the 30-40 mark.

Did you report the issues? Also, I hope you lessened the gratuity for your host.

Star Wars Rogue, Moana, Finding Dory and Beauty & The Beast

I didn't because I didn't see anything that seem life threatening or be a health hazard but let's just say that it makes Carnival look like an even better value now in our eyes. We did comment about it on the comment card, though.

As for the host, the room was cleaned every day... I haven't lessened the gratuity because it's not something I do but I did not write "excellent" on my card and did not mention his name on the card when we named the CMs who gave us the best service.
