Just for fun...who owns at VWL?

We own four contracts: two at VWL and two at BWV. Our initial purchase was at VWL just over a year ago. We own equal points at both resorts - BWV for location and VWL for the Lodge. Along with AKL, it's one of our favorite resorts.

Ironically, it's the last DVC we'll stay in on site! We ended up at OKW for our first stay, then BWV/BCV, BWV again and finally we're going to VWL this New Year. Can't wait!

We did an add on at VWL and are heading there in 32 days.This will be the second time I stayed there,it's usually OKW for us.

Our first DVC purchase was WLV, and we will be staying there in December, and we are so excited about it. We also own at BCV and again, yet to stay there. Just can not seem to get away from BWV We did try OKW last May and LOVED it too!!

We own at VWL. For my DH it is VWL or bust....I would like to try some other DVC properties but he really only feels at home at VWL and he has told me many many times there was no way he would have agreed to buy in if I had shown him any place else.

Clarabelle Cow, there were really several little problems, but my main complaint was the way they were addressed. For example, one time (after waiting in line over an hour to purchase a limited edition pin), my charge was denied. When I called WL to find out why, the response was merely, "Gee, I don't know. Everything's OK here". We were told we were getting express checkout, but that morning when I called to find out why (after the CM the night before said "You're all set!"), we were told "I wonder why [CM's name] said that? How bizarre! You don't have express check out!" And there were other small issues addressed that way. "I'm sorry" are small words, but they mean big things.

We bought into VWL the first morning it became available back in November, 2000. We've since done a small add-on. We'll be going back again in July for some needed R & R. VWL actually sold out either in late 2001 or early 2002 if I remember correctly. The recent purchases have been through Disney "buyback" of contracts, I believe. It's BCV that's about to sell out.

We own all our points at VWL. We at first owned 150 points at VWL. Then BCV came about and we started thinking about adding another 150. When it finally came to making our decision, we decided to purchase the add-on at VWL as well. VWL definitely has the most relaxed feel out of all the resorts at WDW.

We're signing our paperwork at Disney World this Friday for VWL and they are offering MB.

We own at VWL & BCV, but I'm actually not interested in staying at VWL. I love the Epcot resorts, plus I love that there's so much to do w/o the parks in this area & we don't spend all that much time at MK. I also love OKW for long weekends, when we just want to chill out & unwind. VWL just seems dark to me & I'm used to the trasportation at BWV, BCV, & OKW (plus I grew up at the Jersey Shore, so that may have something to do w/my preference!). I'm sure we'll stay there eventually, because DD 16 wants to try it out, but it's not my first choice.

We own 2 contracts at WLV and after our first trip home back in Dec we loved it. When we first checked into buying we hoped for BWV but it was sold out and WLV was almost sold out but I knew at some point we could try all the DVC resorts. I am so glad we bought at WLV, it is so peaceful and after a day at the parks we like relaxation.

I bought 150 at VWL in October and will be headed "home" for the first time May 24-May 30 (along with my 14 year old son and his best friend). I'm secretly looking forward to giving them a little independence from time to time on this trip and enjoying some time on my own. I would like to eventually stay at all DVC resorts. But I'll be satisfied just being in the World! The trip just won't be long enough though!

Happy VWL owners here . We HAVE to stay there once a year - during the Christmas holiday season (we go the week after Thanksgiving).

That being said, we do own at BWV and have stayed at BCV. If we could only own at one resort it would definitely be VWL. The theming, the resort during the holidays, and the proximity to the MK - and the fact that it is (IMHO) the most relaxing DVC resort - are the reasons. Fortunately, we are blessed enough to own at more than one resort. BWV/BCV is our 'summer place' and VWL is our 'holiday place'.

I do not own at VWL (I own at BCV), but I stayed there 3 weeks ago. Loved it. In fact, my dh just said to me that he liked the VWL better than BCV. We've never stayed at BCV yet, but we did walk through it. (I think BCV looks great, btw. He thinks BCV looks too crowded???)

I'm shocked to hear him say this, but maybe he needs to do an add on. What do you think. QUESTION: anyone know if there are any August use years available for a small add on at VWL?

Approx. 1/3 of our points are at VWL, but we have not stayed there yet. Our first trip to our other DVC home will be this Oct We can't wait!!!

From my conversation with my guide, as of about 2 weeks ago February was the only use year available and they had less than 5,000 points left. You might want to call and see if that's changed, but he told me the didn't expect it to last very long and didn't anticipate add'l use years to become available (at least not in the near term). Also, I've noticed that there haven't been that many VWL resales around.

My original purchase was VWL and I love it!!! Stayed there several times, one being last Christmas - nothing like it.
My add-on is at BCV which my kids like more, but my heart is at VWL.

We just made an offer on a VWL resale and it was accepted - waiting to hear from Disney. Keeping our fingers crossed! DH and I are into rustic here at home, and the theming at VWL was definitely more our style. BCV and BWV area would be nice, but too many people for me. I do hope to try OKW someday, tho'.

When I spoke with Robin Daniels at Disney, they had March and April use years for VWL available, with $10 MB. (VB and BCV were both $15 MB/pt) We went resale because we've already got a trip planned in November and didn't want the buyback - we want to use those points!
