Just for fun - WDW from a satellite photo

Thanks for the link. That is really neat. I cannot wait to show it to the kids when they get home from school.

Is this a real photo of WDW? I can't see it...can you orient me as to what I am looking at...I see a "hidden mickey" at the bottom of the pic, but can't figure out what else it is

That's the Richard Petty Driving track next to MK. I can't tell though when I'm inside the track.

It took me a w hile too to figure out what is what in photo. This basically shows Magic Kingdom and MK area resorts. That Mickey at bottom of photo is in Driving Track as previous poster said. It is near transportation and ticket center. IT is interesting how ordinary it looks in this photo. I did zoom in and was able to kind of see the Contemporary and Space Mountain but I could not distinguish the castle.

That's really brilliant... I've just spent the last half hour zooming about the resorts - it's amazing how distinct each of the resorts are, and how easily you can spot the pavillions in Epcot... wow :teeth:

As I see it it shows the Seven seas Lagoon with MK at the top of the lagoon. Te redish area on the left of the lagoon would be GF, on the peninsula, the Poly is at the bottom with the TTC next to it and a LARGE parking area below that. Next in the loop and to the north is the Contemporary with the shadow of the tower showing. You can also see the WL between the TTC and Contemporary but to the right.

This one is much better. You can zoom in a WHOLE LOT closer. Only problem is, the picture is from 1995. Still pretty cool.

Neat!

This must be the view that Walt has - :D :D :D

last week, i downloaded the aerial of wdw, brought it to kinko's & had it enlarged (to 36" x 38") - ordered a frame with matting for it, too - it's going to look nice in the living room! - would have loved to have it enlarged to about 6' x 6' (but DH said "i'm drawing the line at decorating the house with a wdw billboard!!") - spoilsport....

Great links!! Thanks for posting them, those are interesting to look at! :)
