Just got back from our first ever cruise; myself, DW, DS11 and DS9.
I appreciate all of the information that we got from the boards prior to our sailing. Even little things like suggestions to bring door stops to keep our connecting doors open really make a big difference in the quality of the whole experience (since the doors were too heavy to keep open with a trash can, etc.) My wife liked the porthole magnets that we found on the forums and thought that they made it easier for the kids to know where our room was.
I can't say that it is cheap; however, it was a wonderful experience. (And I wouldn't have known about booking a placeholder for OBC and discounts if we hadn't been reading the forum; but we hope to do another trip in the Fall of 2017 after I'm back from a one year overseas deployment with the Navy.)
