Just browsing menus for some different options to our usual go-tos and thinking of trying Jiko for dinner.
However, the drinks menu at Sanaa sounds very interesting, so I wondered whether they have a bar area where it's possible to pop in for a cocktail without actually dining there?

1) Yes, for the bar.
. . . in a separate bar area
. . . bar stools face away from the restaurant
. . . no views of the savannah or animals
2) They have a limited bar menu, which, as mentioned above, does have the bread service.
3) And, as mentioned by momof2gr8kids, IT IS highly recommended ... in fact, bread service goes well with a mai tai.

The bar area is very nice! We had dinner reservations for Sanaa on a day that was one long relentless downpour, so we left the parks early, got there way before our reservation, and just sat at the bar for a couple hours (and basically pre-gamed our dinner haha). The bar area is to the left past the podium where you check in.

Thanks for the advice everyone, think we'll be popping in!

Thanks for the info, we are staying there for the first time this fall, the drink menu looks very intriguing!!!

Very intimate (small) bar area, but very nice and cozy. Hopefully, Kat the bartender is still there - she's awesome!

Love the Sanaa lounge! I'd definitely recommend it. We've been three times and have never had a bad experience.

The plan is - drinks at Sanaa, dinner at Jiko, followed by zebra domes from the Mara! :thumbsup2
